Did anyone else read this issue, and if so can you help me fill in a few details? I've been reading Future's End and Swamp Thing since issue 1 but there's a few things I didn't get with this issue. I'm about 90% sure that when Holland goes to the Red he's talking to Buddy Baker because we see all the other avatars and the dialogue still comes across as somewhat friendly and familiar (Thanks for the bear, loser). And when he visits the Rot the conversation he has with Anton indicates that at some point in the missing 5 years Holland forces each of the different "houses" into an agreement where balance exists and they are prevented from using their powers to affect this balance. Obviously we see the price paid for this, but the things I don't understand are 1) Who's the White Lantern? Other than Kyle Rayner who else is capable of that in this continuum? Is this some new character that Future's End has yet to introduce or am I suppose to recognize him? Also, Holland mentions that the other "houses" can fill in for the Rot after he destroys it, which doesn't seem right according to the lore of the Red, Green, and Rot, it seems like what Arcane says near the end about the Green and Red needing the Rot is much more in line with everything we've been told about that lore.

So what's going on with this issue? Is there supposed to be more to that story or am I missing something?

The Rot exists basically to keep the Red and the Green in check. Its basically death. Without death the Earth becomes overpopulated and kills it self - permanently.

So in essence the other Kingdoms can replicate that. Its a metaphor basically. Metal or machines will easily counter balance the Green for example (think it as a a take on environmentalism issues)

And I actually wasn't sure who the White Lantern was either. maybe @dondave knows
