Just curious to what is your guys favorite new 52 series, so far I would say the my favorites (that I read so far) are Batman Vol.1 and 2 (Scott Synder) Justice League Vol. 1, and Wonder Woman Vol 1. and 2. Aquaman was really close, but it didn't have that "Umpf" to it. Ups should drop off Green Lantern Vol. 1 and 2 tomorrow, been hearing good news from that one, so I am excited! The weakest ones I read so far are Nightwing vol. 1 and Green Lantern Corps vol. 1. I am hard critic though, so maybe it was just me, hopeful the next few will change my mind. What are your thoughts?
DC Comics
Originally known as "National Publications", DC is a publisher of comic books featuring iconic characters and teams such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Justice League of America, and the Teen Titans, and is considered the originator of the American superhero genre. DC, along with rival Marvel Comics, is one of the "big two" American comic book publishers. DC Entertainment is a subsidiary of Warner Brothers and its parent company Warner Media.
Favorite New 52 Series?
I love batman and jla, and I thought the deathstroke comics were good before they got cancelled. New teen titans was a fun read too
Flash has been good too, but I didn't get the same feeling I got when reading the 3 that I stated. I also really need to read Batgirl, Batwoman, Animal man and Swamp Thing. I have been hearing really good things form them. Earth 2 wasnt too bad, I really liked the New 52 Solomon Grundy and Allan Scott.
Hows Green Arrow doing? I've been hearing mixed reviews.
Batman is running the show right now. Ive been meaning to check out Swamp thing, but ive been slacking. What issue did Lemire and sorrentino take over for green arrow?
@amutant: What issue did Lemire and Sorrentino take over GA?
Aquaman is the best so far for me.
Superman's new 52 series rocks, Green Arrow and Green Lantern are great too.
To me, Batman, JLA and Flash series are good, not great.
Which superman series? Action or superman? I just bought both, can't wait for them to arrive (bought first 10 comics for each series)
As for what Im enjoying, well so far I'm only reading Swamp Thing and Justice League, they are both AWESOME!! I also have animal man, flash, superman, superman action, and detective comics but havent read those yet. Really looking forward to animal man and detective comics.
@al_capown: I think Superman was better than Action Comics, not that it was bad or anything, I just really preferred it over Action Comics. Also check out Batman New 52, by Scott Synder, Vol 1. and 2, they are a must have, if you havent already read them of course :P.
My top 5 would look something like this:
- Batman
- I, Vampire
- Wonder Woman
- Demon Knights
- Batman and Robin
I've collected all the trades from these series that have been released thus far, and all of these titles are really quite amazing.

Yes, I do want to buy those, but they are pricy on ebay (comics) maybe in a few months I'll buy the entire set.
Anyone like talon? How is it? I want to buy it but im worried itll get the same treatment deathstroke got.......get cancelled. What about batman and robin?

Issue 17

Talon is at 24,044 units sold last month, down about 1500 from the month before. The danger line where stuff gets cancelled is around 16,000 sales for several months (and most series survive until they're down around 13,000 or so), so at Talon's pace, he should be fine for another year or so. But he's a bit low to be considered stable.
I can't wait for Superman Unchained and if it lives up to the hype that may be there too.
I am also very excited for Superman Unchained! Scott Synder and Jim Lee! Will be great :)
I too can't wait for superman unchained, that week is going to buy epic for me, june 12 superman unchained, june 13 final exams, june 14 graduation, june 15 graduation party, june 16 man of steel movie.
So i started reading detective comics, in on issue 2, (got first 11, except 7) so far is awesome, i love the art and gory/dark feel.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of weak selling DC titles right now so a book has to be pretty low before it is on the block.
I know im gonna get flamed for this but I personally love red hood and the outlaws, although i havent really been into it as much since tynion took over. He just lobotomised a character rather than actually try to fix his emotional issues. Then of course I gotta go Batman, then batman and robin, and who could forget green arrow since #17 and Green Lantern New Guardians. I just really prefer Kyle Rayner over Hal Jordan. Also JLA. Let the flames begin?
@protoflash: That is your own opinion, nothing wrong with that! :)
1. Batman
2. Green Lantern
3. Nightwing
Cant wait for Superman Unchained. Also am gonna start picking up Aquaman because I've heard nothing but good things
@protoflash: I really enjoyed rhto too. I dropped it for the start of the outerspace arc not a big Kori fan. I picked up the annual and loved it so I may start back up. I loved all the Jason dealing with his past stuff.
I would have to say;
- Batman
- Aquaman
- Justice League
I'm actually starting to get into Justice League Dark as of late too!
@cantdance93: trade reader, eh?
I'd say Batman is probably the best and is the one I always expect greatness from. There's a problem with that though as I can easily set myself up for a let down there when I expect greatness every single issue from Snyder. Sometimes there has to be filler or set up.
Overall though it has to be Green Arrow. It's usually the first one I read and Lemire continues to lift that title to new heights. I love how he writes Ollie as the tenacious bad ass he is meant to be. Now if we could only get that goatee going... Anyone else see his stubble starting to grow in JLA? Won't be long now!
@savagedragon: yes another fan of Talon!
You should check out my Talon (Calvin Rose) appreciation thread :)
