im wondering if any heroes need to die to make a good story not just because you dont like the character. Also i mean and impactfull death on the same level as death of barry allen in crisis on infinite earths

@moul: Yeah! That way people will like him more! They could show how he gives up guns and goes straight hero and is then killed! With Dick/Tim blaming himself as he made Jason leave the guns! Or him having an option to jump and grab a gun and shoot a killer(Being himself on gunpoint by the killer) but instead decides to say something like,I'm coming Mom or Bye Bruce or somethin' and is then shot and dies! I really like the character just to make it clear

@barryallen23 Have one big issue where Batman dies by too much exposure to parents, Superman dies by eating kryptonite, Green Lantern dies when looking at a school bus, Wonder Woman dies by getting beat by a man in a sword fight, Aquman dies by California drought, Flash dies by running too fast, The remaining people die by getting eaten by the Anti Monitor, then the Condiment King breaks the 4th wall.

It'd be nice to see the characters die off or age in real time. I mean, Batman and Superman were made in the 1930's and 40's. Its time for some new superheroes DC! I like how Earth-2 got a new Superman with Val-Zod. Thomas Wayne Batman is pretty cool, but it doesn't solve the problem of having the characters age. Infact, it sort of does the opposite, since you have someone in their 50's or 60's being Batman. It'd be cool to have a universe like Batman Beyond, but set in modern times. Where Bruce Wayne and Superman are fifty years older, and the Justice League Unlimited is made up of the heroes' children. Unfortunately, though, it'd be far too risky of a move to completely change the cast in the DC universe. So maybe do a spin-off comic book.

Hal was already dead for years and fans hated it. He only came back about 10 years ago, why would DC kill him again so soon? Especially since he's not only the most popular Green Lantern, he's one of the most popular DC characters in their whole universe.

@minisaladfresh: that's true. the powers that be probably realized their mistake when they made hal parallax. so they made him a hero i final night, but then that wasn't enough, so they made hal the spectre in day of judgement. but of course, spectre hal just would not cut it.

hal had to come back. and he did in rebirth. and for years the green lantern titles were among the top selling books of dc.

actually, looking at all the earth lanterns, it's john stewart's turn to die in the next dc event.

simon baz is just too new to matter, so does jesica cruz.

@abdullahzubair: Ha, yeah, Hal is a bit of a dick but that's why we love him. We have the all-round good guy in Superman, we have the tortured soul in Batman, we have the fierce warrior in Wonder Woman, the light-hearted joker in Flash, and Green Lantern is the lovable douchebag.

I think you always need a character like that, one of those "love them or hate them" types. That's even in the comics too, some love Hal (Barry) and some really don't (Bruce). He just spices things up a little.
