I want that soooo much
DC Comics
Originally known as "National Publications", DC is a publisher of comic books featuring iconic characters and teams such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Justice League of America, and the Teen Titans, and is considered the originator of the American superhero genre. DC, along with rival Marvel Comics, is one of the "big two" American comic book publishers. DC Entertainment is a subsidiary of Warner Brothers and its parent company Warner Media.
DC's BIG BOOK: 75 Years, The Art of Modern Mythmaking
Too expensive but very interesting and so is the size if some prowler breaks into the Whiskey Media Office you have a nice blunt object to defend yourselves.
Let's see. House payment or this? Yeah I don't think I'll be able to get this. Well maybe at Christmas or my birthday.
got it, and true it's really really heavy! the postman was dying delivering it to the 2nd floor, the book is a masterpiece, and the DC comics year by year visual chronicle is one of a kind too !
I love that stuff like that exists, but short of winning the lottery I would never buy it. Plus it's, DC. Now if they made a Marvel one I may think about it more so, but even then I'm just not a huge fan of a lot of the older history of comics.
" @yo_yo_fun: $106 on amazon. Think how much the Absolute books cost and look how much more you get here. "$131.67 on my amazon.
I've read it in my local book store when shopping its pretty impressive but I have to nitpick about this because its could have been easily avoided. On the second (or was it page 4?) Golden age page of Batman they claimed the creepy bat-like theme was a popular in the old days using Spring Heeled Jack The Terror of London as example. Nothing wrong with that. Just that it said. something like: ''Jack the Ripper scares grave robbers in the guise Spring Heeled Jack'' (yeah it was like a week ago, kinda forgot how it was actually written down) Which is something that gets me nitpicking because this could have been easily avoided by 1 minute of google.
I have read The Terror of London and I own the reprint of this reprint. It hasn't even mentioned the Iipper. Its a typical (though way to light hearted) Highwaymen Penny Dreadful, with the twist that the Highwaymen is basically a fortunes man of middle wage playing Robin Hood on his much richer corrupt cousin and some other bad folk. Also they neglected to add that its a reprint yes, But seeing how the current art is show to only be in the 1904 version its not that big of deal with me compared to the other mistake
Aside from that I'd love to have this book and I'm saving for it right now (Its not easy for me to get 150 Euro's) also how they separate the different era's is just awesome ^^
I have this book and I have to say that it is absolutely amazing. It was worth every penny paid. It's great for DC Comics geeks like me. Seriously, I don't think I've found anything as in-depth, both visually and written, covering any comic book company as this thing. I'm a huge DC fan so this has been an absolute joy to read.
This s pretty cool, maybe they have it at Barnes & Noble so I can look at it, because there is no way I can spend that much. Pretty cool book though!
get a pedastal for this thing and hopefully in the future when they dig up our remains, this will become a holy book

I think I actually had a geek-gasm just watching those pages turn, that is one awesome looking book. It is definitely on my wish list for my next Christmas/birthday/anniversary present......although I don't think my wife would appreciate that last one, XD
p.s. @ G-Man: Nice shirt for a DC book review ;P
" I kind of want this book now, Tony, is there anything about John Constantine in it? I noticed Swamp Thing and Sandman. "just 700 pages? Seems like there should be more. JC is in there.

I want this book, but too much money. I saw it at my local store and it is HUGE!
The big expensive book I want to get is the big Madman Atomica book, I'd rather get that expensive thing
