DC Unveils First Images Of Their 'Second Wave' Books

As we near the release date of DC's upcoming 'Second Wave' titles, the more we see of the books. DC Comics recently gave readers a peek at some of the concept art and several interior pages to books like WORLD'S FINEST, EARTH 2, THE RAVAGERS, BATMAN, INC. and many more.

The publisher will be releasing a total of eight new books starting in May. Below are some images from the upcoming books from creators like Nicola Scott (EARTH 2), Chris Burnham (BATMAN, INC.), George Perez (WORLD'S FINEST), and many more. The photos were taken of the binder images where DC keeps assets of all of their upcoming projects.

But wait, that's not all. The folks at CNET recently visited the DC offices and have posted images of their trip, giving fans a clearer picture of the inner workings of the comic book publisher. Over at Buzzfeed we got a look at some concept art for their upcoming BEFORE WATCHMEN books.

The art in Earth 2 looks fantastic. I wish we could have gotten that kind of quality on the regular Justice League.

Some of these definitely look better than others...

And by that I mean all of these with the exception of Ravagers looks awesome.

Loving the look for Ravagers. Such a 90's feel! Earth 2 stuff looks more interesting than the current JLA as well...

GI Combat just made me subconsciously cream my jorts with that gorgeous Ariel Olivetti art. Earth-2, Batman, Inc., and Dial H are also amazing!

G.I Combat and Dial H look amazing! They all do look good, but those two really stand out here, atleast to me.

Woot that's a much better version of the updated Power Girl costume. I still prefer the old one but this is a better representation than the first preview pics we got.

Batman Inc is a must buy for me Dial H looks great as well I may pick up Earth 2 later. All these books except Ravagers look good.

I love the Kevin McGuire stuff, but I'm not picking up World's Finest. Batman Inc. and Dial H for sure.

Sweet mother of all that is Holy, powergirl and Warblade redesign looks amazing! Warblade was always one of my favorite wild cards, next to Ripclaw and, wolverine. Powergirl loos just a bit off, but yet right on her, there may be some changes later, but I am feeling this look on her.

Hard to be excited about Batman Inc, but the rest look amazing.

Love exploring the multiverse with Earth-2 and Worlds' Finest.

Dial H looks like it will be a great addition to the other Dark titles.

Can't wait to see the further integration of Wildstorm in The Ravagers.

Great to see the return of DC's classic war franchises in GI Combat.

Yes, those are previews of the DCnU versions of The War That Time Forgot and The Unknown Soldier. The Haunted Tank will also be featured later in GI Combat.

I Love seeing the art in the three ringed binder, feels like its all rough and concepts and stuff.

I am looking forward to this stuff, easpecially Earth 2 and Worlds Finest by Kevin Maguire and George Perez. Looks great.

So if thats Warblade, then that other concept drawing of the white alien moth guy with faces in his arms might be part of the those designs too. Maybe someone from Wildcats too.

@ArtisticNeedham: The white alien moth guy is Graves and he will be appearing in Justice League #9 for the "Villain's Journey" arc. That's the same guy who wrote the JLA book at the end of issue 6.

Some characters are very intriguing I find myself curious about Abyss, Boy Chimney and Warblade they all seem to have a very interesting feel to them can't wait to pick them up whether in their own series or not.

I'm adding Worlds Finest to my pull list - I'm just plain curious and hoping it will be fun.

I'll also be pulling Ravagers hoping it will help fill that place in my comic loving heart left by the previous Teen Titans.
