Well, I'm disappointed.
From the description, what I liked about the Teen Titans has been completely removed. To me, the Teen Titans has always been about the sidekicks. No line-up will ever be able to come close to that original classic line-up - because you really can't duplicate your first date - and no one will ever come as close to what Marv Wolfman and George Perez were able to do. I get that DC is trying for an edgy approach to Teen Titans, but Tim Drake leading a team that reads like Jason Todd wannabes? I'll pass.
Maybe I'm way too nostalgic, but the early '90's Legionnaires reboot wasn't that bad. It was fun. Comics should be fun.
I'm sorry, but these reboots just look like a rehash of old ideas. Old ideas that didn't stick the last time they were tried.
As far as Titans and Legion, I'll pass and wait for the next reboot....or, I'll dig back through my longboxes and re-read my old stash.
DC Comics
Originally known as "National Publications", DC is a publisher of comic books featuring iconic characters and teams such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Justice League of America, and the Teen Titans, and is considered the originator of the American superhero genre. @Amegashita: I was never big into JSA so I didn't know it was similar to Dr. Midnight until they mentioned it in his book. But yes, I like the tunic look with the cowl.
first off...why is everyone dissing Scott Lobdell? You guys do remember who wrote Age of Apocalypse one of the best X-men stories ever? Or how about creating Generation X?
second off....the costumes aren't hideous...I really can't pass judgement until I see a bigger picture and maybe some interior work....but one thing that bugs me is the fact that Superboy's S shield is drawn on a piece of paper and taped to his back....wtf?
THAT IS NOT BART
I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO BELIEVE
@zzax: early 90s, I'd say...I'm actually a big fan of the late 90s era, ie. 1996-2003 or so.
@danhimself: He didn't write AoA he was a contributor.might as well be the same thing
@fodigg: if you've ever shaved, and/or gotten a tattoo, you'd know they are very different processes. One involves cutting the tops of hair follicles (or burning them i guess in Superman's case) so they are flush with the surface of the skin. the other involves injecting an indelible pigment or dye into the dermis (the living layer, where blood still flows) of the skin.its a comic book if they want to burn a tattoo on to some one then they will do it. Also the old Red Robin suit was a design for some one else its only fair Tim gets a different one.

Also LOL at every one judging the whole book on one piece of cover art
@Moonleming said:also he wrote X-men: Alpha, X-men: Omega, Astonishing X-men, and Generation Next....more titles in the Age of Apocalypse than any other writer@danhimself: He didn't write AoA he was a contributor.might as well be the same thing
Ive figured out why Jim Lee changed their costumes so drastically. He wants to make everyone in the DCU look like they were created in the Wildstorm universe... because thats what the Teen Titan team looks like. A Wildstorm team. Very 90's.lol....read my mind
So far, I was only moderately excited by the new titles. It was more the idea that amazed me than the actually announced titles. Sure, I thought "Huh, this is interesting" here and there, but that was it.
However, that Titans Book... Holy crap! That looks so very awesome. Seriously. I dig the redesigns, I can't wait to learn more about what's been announced. We get to explore an entirely new cast of heroes. Hooray!
According to Didio it doesn't sound like Red Robin is getting a solo book in the relaunch...
" I think you're looking at every one of the former Robins to have a real showcase book, and this will be the primary showcase for Tim Drake." -Dan Didio

My main issue is that my drunk, club footed dog can draw better and has more design sense than Rob Leifield I understand how he got work at the time when he started....I was told by Wendi Pini that a pizza boy who could hold a pencil could get hired with Marvel back then because they were trying to flood the market and trying to take up shelf space (yes this was pre Image...after Image it only got worse) Why he's STILL working is a complete mystery to me.
I love Superboy's new design. But why does it look like the shield written on loose leaf and taped on his back?
The titans look interesting but I'm not sure about the new characters. My question is when will the new aqualad be a titan?
I really like Static's look.
Tim Drake has the best costume out of the heroes so far! That cape is gorgeous! And so many pockets for goodies. Well good thing Tim's been confirmed. Now we have all 4 Robins. Hope he'll get his own little series but hey there are already so many Batman centered titles it'll probably be quite a squeeze.
Totally agree. 100%!!
I love Superboy's new design. But why does it look like the shield written on loose leaf and taped on his back?that's my biggest problem and as I look at the picture more it seems like it's possible that Kid Flash put it there as a joke

Robin being "forced to step out from behind his keyboard" it seems likely that a continuity reboot for the hero will be part and parcel of his leading a team that includes "belligerent powerhouse thief known as Wonder Girl and a hyperactive speedster calling himself Kid Flash." Booth's cover also reveals the involvement of Superboy in the series.
Why (or what) are they REEBOOTING Tim Drake for?
@Kal'smahboi said:That was one of my first impressions, too. Especially with Bart's smirk and his thumb pointed like that. It's like the superhero's version of a "Kick Me" sign. I wonder if maybe they make fun of Conner for identifying with Superman in the reboot.I love Superboy's new design. But why does it look like the shield written on loose leaf and taped on his back?that's my biggest problem and as I look at the picture more it seems like it's possible that Kid Flash put it there as a joke
NICE! I'll be picking up most of these.
The issue of Hawk and Dove should be wroth a pretty penny. Liefeld actually drew their feet! :-O
I actually like Tim's Suit...somewhat. I mean at least he doesn't look like Dr. Midnight anymore. Cassie and Conner look terrible though.
I'll definitely check Static now that Rozum's writing it.
OH incase anyone missed it, that's not a tattoo on superboy's arm, it's a bar code probably part of his revised origin
it may just be me but I just think Tim hasd ootgrown the Titans, and Teen Titans look like an image comic book now plus who are the other two. The costumes look slick but we all no that will go south, and the legion comics will not last long in my opinion.
The only issue that I'll be getting is going to be the Titans. I could care less about the others. Also, I guess this means Tim Drake won't have a series to himself anymore.
@GreenArrow789: Well, he is headlining the Titan's so you can basically call it his book, with company."Red Robin and the Teen Titans" :P
@War Killer: Sounds like a musical act. Not that I wouldn't go watch it.
Man, the book I most want to read of this list is Legion Lost, but it seems A) the one most doomed and B) pretty tied to that other Legion book. So...we'll see. But I love me some Nicieza and Woods.
Also, is there anywhere that DC is posting all of these books and they're announcing them so I can get a grand view of all 52 books?
Geoff Johns needs to stop eating those spicy tacos before bedtime. This is a result of his stomach problems.
Art for Teen Titans looks awful. Costumes look terrible - why oh why does Red Robin have wings?!?! WTF
Dear Tim Drake,
I want my flying harness back.
Signed,
The Falcon
