The monthly solicitations and covers for DC Comics' February 2016 books are about to be released. DC has announced three creative team changes known ahead of time on their website. Take a look at who's working on AQUAMAN, NEW SUICIDE SQUAD, and TEEN TITANS.

NEW SUICIDE SQUAD #17

Kicking things off, NEW SUICIDE SQUAD #17 will be written by Tim Seeley (GRAYSON, BATMAN ETERNAL) and illustrated by Juan Ferreyra (GOTHAM BY MIDNIGHT, BATMAN ETERNAL). These regular Gothamites visit the dark and unspeakably violent world of the Suicide Squad for a thrilling new storyline! We’re excited to see what they bring to the Squad!

Indentured super villain Harley Quinn has made covert contact with someone outside the walls of Belle Reve prison—and this mysterious savior has discovered the secrets of Amanda Waller and Task Force X.

AQUAMAN #49

Next, AQUAMAN #49 will be written by Dan Abnett (TITANS HUNT, HE-MAN: THE ETERNITY WAR, EARTH 2: SOCIETY) and illustrated by Vicente Cifuentes (BATMAN/SUPERMAN, CONVERGENCE: JUSTICE LEAGUE). Watch these two make waves with the beginning of a new chapter featuring your Atlantean heroes!

In the aftermath of the Thule invasion, Aquaman must show the people of Atlantis that he was the target of a conspiracy and earn their trust once more. And no, it’s not going to be easy...

TEEN TITANS #17

Finally, TEEN TITANS #17 will be written by Greg Pak (ACTION COMICS, BATMAN/SUPERMAN) with art by Noel Rodriguez (RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS). The creative team isn’t going to give the Titans a single break. Run for your lives, Titans!

With their backs against the wall, the Titans are wanted across the country! Now, Tim Drake must find a way to clear the team’s name while staying one step ahead of the law. But Wonder Girl’s past is also catching up with her and it won’t wait for the Titans’ troubles to calm down.

Was just scrolling down to the Teen Titans entry whispering to myself, "Please not Lobdell, please not Lobdell, please not Lobdell" and lo and behold... I guess there is some power to positive thinking ;)

I honestly expected the Titans to be taken back over by Lobdell. Wow am I glad I was wrong. I will be buying all three of these books when these creative teams take over.

Funny too because I had just decided to drop Teen Titans today and this announcement has earned them back on my pull list come issue 17.

As long as it's not an event, he's aces.

This is all great news!! I just have to mention Juan Ferreyra in particular. After Gotham by Midnight I cannot get enough of his artwork!

"Lets give Suicide Squad another shot" is a phrase that comes to mind every 6 months or so. But with Tim Seeley on board maybe just maybe it'll be good. And Greg Pak writing the Titans sounds like a fantastic idea. Hopefully he soft reboots them and drops just about ya know everything Lobdell shackkled everyone with.

Abnett and Aquaman sounds like something I might like.

I might have to start reading Teen Titans come Feb. I'm already reading Aquaman and Suicide Squad so I'm excited to see what the new teams bring.

I really want Tom King to be on the main series, and this was before his amazing Darkseid war tie in.
Ever since his work on The Omega Men, I was curious to see what he could do for Green Lantern or Suicide Squad.

@darthdanman: it might be, although, it would be a bit disappointing because I was really excited knowing they were coming back. I'm sure Abnett will do fine, though.

Don't ruin Bunker he is the only thing good with that book/team.

I don't think anything can safe Teen Titans for me right now, so I will stay away from the book, with the other two it's different. With Abnett writing Titans Hunt I have high hopes that he will include Garth naturally as a recurring cast, his overall work in comics had given me much to like and Tim Seeley seems to be a good fit for New Suicide Squad, he always has weird ideas and a slightly-absurd, violent, somewhat-spy-book seems perfect for a guy that writes Revival & Grayson.

Yeah, that's disappointing :/

Here's hoping Pak's Teen Titans will be good. I haven't good things from his run on Action Comics or Bats/Supes but these are different characters so who knows. Too bad he couldn't have taken over before Lobdell ruined Kon-El. =/

Kot was the only Squad writer I enjoyed since the reboot (and humorously enough, had the shortest tenure at the helm). Maybe Seely can catch my interest again?

The short version: Arthur's hunted by Atlantis (again), and he was 'raped' by Mera's sister posing as her.

Also there is the whole thing about everyone seemed to agree that his idea wasn't right for the book, so he actually had already signed off before the first issue came out... plus he didn't care to put up with the people threatning him online.

Thank god. Hopefully the titans will become a book worth reading again.
