The New 52 brought in plenty of new readers, but it left a lot of fans wondering about some of their favorite characters' continuity and questioning why some other characters haven't arrived yet. Well, as you may have already heard, DC is dedicating April and May to a new event which will aim to answer just some of our questions and bring back some familiar faces. It was announced we'd have the 8-part CONVERGENCE limited series and 40 2-part miniseries. Today, CBR unveiled what 10 of those miniseries will be! As you'll see below, they'll bring back Dick Grayson as Nightwing, Stephanie Brown as Batgirl, Flashpoint characters, Cassandra Cain, the Question, and more.

SUPERMAN

Superman and Lois deal with the impending birth of their child as he is called in to protect the city.

THE ATOM

Ray Palmer finds that Ryan Choi is still alive. Together, they meet and confront Deathstroke, the man responsible for “killing” Choi, before fighting the invading Extremists.

BATGIRL

After a year in the dome, Stephanie Brown is not sure she wants to be Batgirl again. But when Flashpoint Catman attacks, Red Robin and Black Bat call her back into service.

Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon reevaluate their relationship under the dome (wedding!), but Flashpoint Hawkman & Hawkwoman attack, and everything changes.

I'm still not sure what this is. Are pre-flashpoint characters doing stuff in the new 52 world or with new 52 characters? Or are they just making some new pre-flashpoint stories?

Question by Rucka is the most exciting bit of comic book news I've heard in months (which is saying something, given all of the news we've gotten). I've been waiting to see the return of Montoya as the Question AND the return of Rucka to a DC book for years now.

I'm a bit confused by exactly what this event is, but I will most definitely be buying. Seeing Steph as Batgirl, Babs as Oracle, and classic Harley Quinn are more than enough to make me throw all of my money at DC.

@saren: well Greg Rucka love pre new 52 DCU that is why when New 52 is announce, Rucka decide to leave DC as protest towards Dan Didio and DC editorial.

I thought Rucka was the current writer on the SM/WW book? (You sure it's not Fialkov?)

The current writer is Soule and the next writer is Tomasi. Fialkov doesn't work for DC anymore, as far as I know.

I'm very much hoping for the biggest spike in sales since the start of the New 52. Let Didio know what the fans really want to see.

I'm not really sure about bringing all these reallities and parallel universo back. it all seems kinda confusing to me. Why did they create a reboot then?

Watch all these universes get destroyed forever only for the New52 to be the last one remaining...

I hope for not that. Even if it does, it will be a gimmick/event boost. Nothing out of the ordinary really ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wonder what comics creator like Mark Waid, Alex Ross, Ed Brubaker etc comment will be about this bringing back old DCU stuff. I mean after all they're people who speak publicly that they don't like New 52 and prefer old DCU

@captain13: meh..I predict New 52 and Old DCU will be like Marvel 616 and Marvel Ultimates. After all, why comic creator who speak publicly don't like new 52 like Greg Rucka comeback and write DC book back right ?

I want so many of the characters back on a regular basis. Pre New-52 Roy and Batgirl were just so awesome.

Only two issues though :( I'd rather see 20, four part issues.

Glad they are thing up loose ends, but you know what would be even better? Returning to the old continuity.

I would start buying DC comics again if they would return, but I really don't care for the changes. I know it's extremely unlikely they will return, but I can't help but root for it.

At bare minimum, give me a Red Robin convergence book.

Hmmm, so when they want to guarantee good sales during their "we're moving across the country and need to put out some filler" months, they go back to the pre-reboot characters. It's ALMOST like they know that those are the characters that the fans want most. :P

Anyway, so nice to see the classic Harley costume back! And cass cain! And Donna Troy! And, well, just the whole lot of them!

DC editorial always said that Flashpoint didn't erase the previous timeline, just that from now on we'd be following a different timeline in the main books. Would be nice if DC decided the two timelines could coexist on the store shelf and give us a few books set in the pre-reboot world.

Wait...is Justice League book is lineup from James Robinson Justice League book ? Oh man...I want line up from Grant Morrison 1990's JLA

@captainmarvel4ever I'll happily eat my words and admit you were right about Convergence because there's literally so much Pre New 52 goodness here! I'll take being proven wrong any day of the week when there's this much nostalgic awesomeness announced in this article. Here's to the original Captain Marvel being one of these mini series as a part of Convergence eh? I know you miss him a lot and I'm getting what I want with Superman. The classic, married to Lois, underpants wearing protector of truth and justice. Man I miss that incarnation.

@boynerdgeek: That is not why Rucka left, he left because he had issues with Didio. Didio was not true to his word with him for instance, Didio had told Rucka that he was going to get the chance to write a Wonder Woman All-Star story but Didio instead gave it to grant Morrison and that ticked Rucka off.

Classic mess with peoples emotions... I think that they will probably combine the universes. Picking and choosing characters they want to use for the main 52.

As someone who isn't reading futures end, this is very confusing...
