After Convergence we ALL know things will change... and this? These are a few of both my hopes and my take on how things SHOULD go. Firstly? A CLEAR TIME LINE THAT STRETCHES BACK MORE THAN JUST 5 YEARS! And let's start with the universe's first superhero...

Wonder Woman: Diana was sculpted from clay on the island of Themyscira in 1914. She adopted the name Wonder Woman, and became a superhero, in 1938 after arriving in Washington D.C. and dispatching a few villains such as Dr. Poison, the ruthless gangster the Angle Man, and the Nazi spy Paula von Gunther she became what would become the first superhero in the eyes of the public. During this time, she went by the alias "Diana Prince". She would fight in World War II when America entered the war in 1941 and would become part of what would eventually become the Justice Society of America after the war was over. Sometime after the war she returned home, but left the island again in 2001 and became the resident heroine of Washington D.C. once more.

The Sentinel(Alan Scott): In 1941, railroad engineer and businessman Alan Scott is nearly killed when a lumbering zombie-like creature of incredible strength causes the train he is riding on to crash as it punched the train head-on while it was crossing the tracks. Alan would have died, if not for the intervention of an old Chinese oil lamp that was being shipped to a museum on the train. The crash freed the mystical entity inside the lamp, an almost genie-like being identifying itself as Lu-Huo(Green Fire in Chinese). While it possessed great power, it needed a vessel to contain it or it would perish like the fire it took its name after. So it bound itself to the dying Scott, imbuing him with vast magical powers. He would use these powers as The Sentinel, fighting for justice in his hometown of Capitol City. He would eventually go to fight in WWII a few months later, and become a founding member of the team of heroes that would eventually become known as the Justice Society of America.

The Flash(Jay Garrick): In 1938 College student Jay Garrick was a brilliant young chemist, but when his professor and mentor develops a new fuel known as "Heavy Water" which is designed to last far longer and than standard gasoline, Nazi spies descend on his campus. He finds one attempting to steal the sample of Heavy Water already made, but in the ensuing struggle to stop the thief, they both end up in a chemical explosion when a lamp falls on the ground and electrifies the chemicals that had fallen to the floor. Both Jay and the Nazi would go into a coma due to the explosion, Jay would wake first in 1940 and discover he had super speed. With his fiance Joan designing a costume for him, something she suggested as Jay had gone into a coma a few months before Wonder Woman's appearance, he took to the streets as The Flash. The Nazi would eventually awaken as well, having lost all memory of his previous life and only remembering his undercover identity of Dr. Edward Clariss. He too gained super speed and would soon become known as The Rival... The first Reverse-Flash

The Justice Society of America:The Society was initially comprised of Wonder Woman, The Flash, and The Sentinel over the course of a month had expanded to include several other American superheroes who had come overseas to fight the Nazi menace such as Mr. Terrific, Hourman, Black Canary, and Dr. Fate and Dr. Midnight. The only non-superhero member was soldier Ted "Wildcat" Grant, a three time heavyweight champion boxer, who had been drafted, and who would eventually become the vigilante known as Wildcat after the war was over. The Justice Society of America met their first challenge as they battled the deadly trio of the immortal Vandal Savage, the sorcerer Ian Karkull, and the time traveling menace of Per Degaton who all had joined forces to overthrow the Axis and establish their own order, all of them having been enhanced to superhuman levels by the god Ares who sought to add more fuel to the flames of the war

The Justice Society would go on to be fairly active, namely Alan Scott and Jay Garrick, as their powers had slowed their aging(Or in Alan's case STOPPED his aging all together). However by 1970, superheroes had become less and less plentiful and eventually the Justice Society was a mere two members, those being Alan, Jay, and Ted Grant. Ted, who due to the battle with Per Degaton and the exposure he got to his time machine's energy core when it was struck by Wonder Woman, had become functionally immortal as every time he died his body would reset to the age he was when he was in that battle and revive him. He would jokingly say he had 9 lives because of this.

By the year 2000 though, superheroes seemed like a long lost fad, and aside from the rumors of some kind of Batman in Gotham City there was little to change this... Until one day.

Superman first appears in the year 2000, and ushers in a new age of superheroes. People are just as amazed by him as they were with the Justice Society, mostly due to the vast majority of powers he possessed and the fact he was an alien. His first adventure would be the one that would reveal his existence and those of aliens to the world when he saved the planet from an attack by the cyborg villain Brainiac. The alien menace had shrunk down Metropolis and intended to make it the last surviving piece of Earth, but through his efforts Superman saved both the city and Earth from disaster. Because of this, he was quickly praised as the hero of Metropolis and Earth's greatest hero.

A few months after this, a new menace in Gotham City brought the ever illusive and mythical Batman, and his partner Robin, into public view for the first time ever as the city was menaced by a man known only as... The Joker
