I'm a bit new to this whole comic books scene. So far i've bought tons of Batman hardcovers and other stories.

I really want to get into the main DC Story line with Crises on Infinite Earths and Infinite Crisis. I'd really like to know what to buy.

I bought Identity Crisis and Villains United the other day, because they seemed to be great stories even if out of context (and they were awesome) but that's the only book i have related.

I have this on my wish list.

What should i had? And in what order?

    Thanks !

That (Crisis on Infinite Earths) would be the first one. It's good, but not vital to understand what's happening now. Identity Crisis is next and about twenty years more recent. VU follows Identity.

These tie in with Villains United and are countdown to Infinite Crisis stories:

Day of Vengence is my personal favourite. Then you have Infinite Crisis. After that there is One Year later and 52 (which explains what happens in the missing year between IC and most of the titles which jumped ahead a year). Then you'd be at Countdown which is the current one.

To catch up with events in the DCU, I think Infinite Crisis and 52 would cover it. Batman isn't my area of expertize though, just follow the numbers on that I guess.

Death of Superman is a good read (as is Reign of the Supermen) but it's not vital.

    GuardianAngel says:

"Heh. I skipped the Death of Superman. I've got the novelization, "Death and Life of Superman". Can't believe they made a flippin' movie out of it. I think it might actually scare some kids."

the movie is actually a cartoon, while it isn't set in the DCUA, it isn't completely faithful to the original story
