Are any of the BB comics worth reading? I like the power of the scarab in the animated shows but not sure if the personality of the guy behind the scarab (and the storyline) will make the comic worth reading.

Well the N52 is only two vol. long. But I heard it was good.

His Pre-52 series was a really fun read.

Pre New 52 or New 52?

Both pre and new 52 are great (but maybe I'm biased)! Don't worry about Jaime's personality...he's an all-around charming and nice guy who loves his family. His dream is to be a fricking dentist, just so that he can pay off his parents' mortgage and his little sister's college. Maybe that'll tell you what kind of guy Jaime is :)

I didn't like the new52 run but I'm not a fan of Jaime Reyes

I did enjoy the Blue and Gold stuff with BB(Ted Kord) and Booster Gold

If you're looking for Jaime Reyes look up Blue Beetle "Shellshocked" as a starting point.

The Ted Kord and Booster Gold stuff is amazing though.
