in your opinion what are the best and worst thing of the new 52
DC Comics
Originally known as "National Publications", DC is a publisher of comic books featuring iconic characters and teams such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Justice League of America, and the Teen Titans, and is considered the originator of the American superhero genre. DC, along with rival Marvel Comics, is one of the "big two" American comic book publishers. DC Entertainment is a subsidiary of Warner Brothers and its parent company Warner Media.
best thing and worst thing the new 52 has done
The best was Lemire and Sorrentino's Green Arrow.
The worst was the revamps of Tim Drake and Wally West.
The Best: N/A
The Worst: Martian Manhunter's non involvement in the Justice league, Wonder Woman's crappy new costume and origin, Superman/Wonder Woman being canon, the way Hal Jordan is written, the mishandling of the teen Titans, Captain Marvel's name and personality changes, Cyborg becoming a founding JLA-er and being reduced to Batmans sidekick, Green Arrow's new design, Superman's personality change, Black Canary's non-involvement with the JSA and Justice League. Need I go on?
My favorite things are Jeff Lemire and Scott Snyder.
My least favorite things were the origins of Wally West and Jim Corrigan. They turned Wally into a walking stereotype and Jim, the Spectre, is complete garbage now. They completely disregarded his divine mission and just made him an angsty ghost.
Best: Aquaman or John's End to Green Lantern (everything Venditti never happened, GL ended at issue 20 and nobody can tell me different).
Worst: Lil' West
Worst: Hiring Scott Lobdell as Superman writer
Best: Firing Scott Lobdell as Superman writer
But seriously though,
Best: Geoff Johns on Green Lantern Aquaman Justice League and Superman, Snyder's Batman, Azzarello's Wonder Woman, Lemire's Green Arrow
Worst: Lobdell's Superman, Green Arrow before Lemire, Wally West, Ma Kent being dead
@gizmorino: looks like Supergirl is getting a new costume in Supergirl 36
First, individual titles
Best: Geoff Johns' Aquaman
Peter Tomasi's Batman and Robin
Jeff Limre's Animal Man
Scott Snyder's Swamp Thing
Scott Snyder's Batman
Judd Winick's Batwing
Brian Azzarello's Wonder Woman
Greg Hurwitz's Penguin Pain and Prejudice
Worst: Geoff Johns' Justice League
Judd Winick's Catwoman
David Finch's The Dark Knight
Dan Jurgen's Justice League International
Scott Lobdell's Red Hood And The Outlaws
Second, individual moments in the N52DCU
Best: Wonder Woman the God of War
Hellbat Armor
Aquaman is a certified badass
Issue 18 of Batman and Robin was PERFECT
Joker was SCARY in the first issue of DOTF
President Superman of Earth 23
Justice Buster armor
The inclusion of Wildstorm characters in the DCU proper (even if their books weren't all that great)
DCU's version of Beowulf
Worst: Starfire
Inept Batman in Justice League
Superman hasn't really had an opportunity to shine yet
Tim Drake was never Robin
Martha Kent is dead
Martian Manhunter is not a part of the League
Amanda Waller is suddenly sexy, Wally West is suddenly black, Alan Scott is suddenly gay (My problem with Waller, West, and Scott is this; if you want to make sexy, black, or gay characters, make new characters. Don't arbitrarily attribute traits to characters that have never possessed those traits before.)
Batman's compressed timeline
Year One no longer the origin for Bruce
The way Rama Kushna treats Deadman
Lois and Clark are no longer an item
Captain Marvel's new name is Shazam
The removal of the "underwear" on Supes and Bats costumes (I liked the contrast they added to their outfits)
That's all I could think of for now.
