Hi guys,

I've been reading comics for like half a year now and mainly DC's new 52.

Now I just wanted to know what series of the new 52 you are reading and if you have any recommendations for me to look in to other series I haven't read by now.

The series I have read regularly by now are:

-Batman

-Detective Comics

-Batman and Robin

-Catwoman

-Batgirl

-Batwoman

-Nightwing

-Red Hood and the Outlaws

-Justice League

-Red Lanterns

-Batman The Dark Knight

Well even though batman is awesome as always the series that i have liked the most are aquaman and wonder woman

Action comics has been cool too, although im only reading it in trades

The New52 titles I am reading are Batman, Nightwing, Justice League, GL(may be dropping), Phantom Stranger, Animal Man and Swamp Thing.

Swamp Thing has been my favorite by far. They story and art have been great and the panel layout adds so much to the story. Batman and Animal are my favorites after that.

@Stormbox: I took a look at Action Comics, but after a few issues I was just bored... does it get better after a while?

@Cap10nate: Would you recommend Swamp Thing or Animal Man alone or just together since they crossover in Rotworld?

@Impala: How's All-Star Western? Haven't read a single book because I couldn't really coop with the fact that it's... well a western.

@Antarktischer_Ureinwohner: You could definitely read one or the other. I prefer ST. The only problem is that issue 12 continued from one book to the other and issue 15 or 16 will as well to close out rot world. Other than that, it is not essential to follow the other book.

The first 4 are on my pull list so I've read them first hand to know they're good. I've followed 5, 6, 7 and 8 online and the reviews seem positive for those. And according to Babs, Earth 2 is brilliant so that's worth looking at.

@SmashBrawler: How many series do you follow all in all?

@inferiorego: Is Earth 2 any good? Haven't heard that much about it and don't know anyone who's reading it.

@Antarktischer_Ureinwohner: I dunno, like 20-something from DC, three from Marvel and two from Indies. I've been reading a lot more stuff since the New 52 started.

@SmashBrawler: wow! I think I know no one in person how is reading many more than 10 books regularly. What is your favorite?

It's awesome; however, I'm a big JSA fan, so I'm biased.

@Antarktischer_Ureinwohner: It's mostly because I was reading very few comics before the New 52. Many things at DC were sh!tty, and I had zero interest in both Marvel and Indie comics; so I saved a lot of money at the time.

My favorite series right now is Animal Man.

@Antarktischer_Ureinwohner: Nope, the only series I was reading regularly were Flash, Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Batman Incorporated and Batman: Streets of Gotham.

It's about the JSA characters, but not really the team, yet.

It has elements that tie into Animal Man and Swamp Thing as well

Yes they are, but there are concepts that cross over.

@Stormbox: I read until issue 4, don't know if the "action" starts in issue 5, but couldn't enjoy the first four.

Personally I love Superman, but the new 52 has disappointed me.

I personally am not a fan of Morisson & even though I am a fan of Tony Daniels art it probably won't be enough to pull me to the story lines they are entrenched in.

I'll wait it out until Scott & Jim get their hands on big blue.

But doesnt morrison leave in issue 17 or something?

Sure but think of it this way. Nov = 14 Dec 15 Jan 16 Feb 17.

Around 4-6 issues away from the Syder/Lee title.

Why waste my time with Morrissons title when its just not my cup of tea?

I'm about to drop a few of these like Superman(gonna wait until a few issues after the H'el crossover with my fingers crossed) and maybe Batgirl but I really like the others.

3-17-13. just saw my post from 2 months ago and realised that I dropped some others. I did start reading JLA and I'm looking forward to pulling Action again as soon as Morrisons run is over. Also Superman Unchained ( lame name) is gonna kick ass!

My favorite is probably Aquaman or the New Guardians.

@Antarktischer_Ureinwohner: Have you tried Wonder Woman its really good. The thing is it goes on and off. One issue is amazing then other one is kind of boring than its amazing again.

My vote goes to Batwoman.

Aquaman is my personal favorite !

I follow Action Comics by the issue (I'm a huge Superman fan) and have the first two volumes of Justice League. Other New 52 comics I'm getting by the issue are Vibe, Katana, and Justice League of America. I also read the Earth 2 vol. 1, and I must say, I'm deeply impressed. The different takes on the Golden Age/JSA characters are VERY refreshing.

I love that Jay gets his powers straight from Mercury himself.

There's a lot of great titles out in the New 52 series, but if I had to narrow down a list of some of my favorites:

• All titles from the Batman Family (more so, Nightwing)
• Aquaman
• Justice League
• Justice League of America titles
• The Green Lantern titles
• Phantom Stranger

And yeah, I agree with you. New 52 Aquaman title is mine too, but again he's always been my favorite. Now that Geoff Johns took the throne to write for the title (who has been my favorite writer since Hal Jordan's rebirth), I'm just cruising on auto-pilot watching the modern era of comic characters evolve.
