So far, which comics do you think are the best?
DC Comics
Originally known as "National Publications", DC is a publisher of comic books featuring iconic characters and teams such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Justice League of America, and the Teen Titans, and is considered the originator of the American superhero genre. DC, along with rival Marvel Comics, is one of the "big two" American comic book publishers. DC Entertainment is a subsidiary of Warner Brothers and its parent company Warner Media.
Best 52 comics so far
@2cool4fun: Is I, Vampire good? I know I'm late, but I just started reading comics about half a year ago.. Anyways I might buy it or check it out.
Imo:
Wonder Woman
Justice League Dark
I'm liking Grayson so far..
Just started reading into Red Lanterns as well..
@saint_sophie It's good, it's my favourite dark title, and in my opinion better than JL Dark, plus it has an arc that crosses over with JLD so you might like that.
You might not find it better, but I promise you you'll at least find it there on the same level as JLD.
There are lot of good tittles for what i been reading
- All-New Western
- Aquaman
- Animal Man
- Batwoman
- Batgirl
- Demon Knights
- Green Arrow
- Green Lantern
- Green Lantern New Guardians
- Justice League Dark
- Harley Quinn (I didnt read it but what i had seen it looks cool and funny comics)
- I Vampire
- Nightwing
- Red Lanterns
- Supergirl
- Swamp Thing
- Wonder Woman
I might be biased but hey I am what i am ^_^

hehe
*In Mystic's voice* biased and proud ^_^
Wonder Woman (Azarello's best superhero work tbh)
Green Arrow (Lemire)
Justice League Dark (DeMatthis)
Action Comics (Morrison and Pak)
Batman (Natch)
Batgirl (Simone)
World's Finest (I read a fun issue as my first comic in a decade, and then got burned by Levitz)
Batman, Batgirl, and Green Arrow are the only ones I would pay full price for on release.
Green Arrow for the world building and character development.
Batman for being one of the more intricately plotted titles.
Batgirl for all the things she did with Barbara Gordon developing. And the implications implicit to her rogues' gallery made me snicker each time I read dialog for the new Ventriloquist. And the implications for her dialog involving Obscura. And I will soon drop this title when the depth of stupid that Cameron Stuart feels compelled to induce crashes down in the next issue. The art would have served Gail so much more. But, it turns out that she had very little control until she was brought back. It was editorial that pushed for super dark. then editorial that fired her twice. Once to go hyper exploitatively dark, then to go full saccarine.
There certainly have been a lot of good ones. Too many to name. I don't disagree with people who say the New 52 has some good stories. I do however disagree with anyone who says it was necessary in order of DC to continue to put out good stories, that it was a "good idea", or that throwing all continuity out the window was necessary to boost sales.
@senglord: Who is Natch? All of New 52 Batman has been by Snyder.
@kilowog52: I meant Naturally. Snyder has the best monthly pedigree out of those writing for DC after Robinson and Mieville left.
I've tried just about every DCN52 book and i dropped most I've narrowed it down to:
- Nightwing
- Teen Titans
- All Star Western (Consistently Amazing)
- Suicide Squad
- Batman & Robin (Consistently Amazing)
- Wonder Woman (Consistently Amazing)
- Swamp Thing (Consistently Amazing)
- Red Lanterns
- Aquaman (Consistently Amazing)
- Red Hood
- Batman (Consistently Amazing)
- Justice League (Consistently Amazing)
- JLD
- Earth 2
- Green Lantern
- Animal Man (Consistently Amazing)
- Birds of Prey
- Sinestro
- Grayson (Consistently Amazing)
-Flash 1-25
-Batman : the death of the family, court of owls night, of the owls, city of owls, Robin rises,
-Detective comic :manapul buccelato
-Superman doomed
-superman Geof Johns
-All superman/batman
-All superman/ww
-WW
-GL geof johns
-nightwing
-all Justice League (not dark, not America)
-Forever evil
-all aquaman
-Action comics 25-39
Aquaman
Justice League
Justice League Dark
Swamp Thing
I, Vampire
Action Comics (Morrison)
Batman (Everything Snyder)
Batman & Robin
Phantom Stranger
Earth 2 (but man is this universe depressing)
WW
GL universe
Suicide Squad (although I absolutely loath the fact that the Squad is slowly becoming part of the Batman universe and I detest even the idea that the Wall would keep Harley in the Sqaud for any reason, seriously WhyTF does one of the best tacticians in the DCU keep the second most unstable person on DC Earth in her tactical team???)
Batman has definitely been the best and most consistently good book since the reboot (atleast to me). Snyder has been doing an excellent job.
EDIT: I forgot to mention Batman and Robin. It's up there with Batman in terms of quality and consistency.
Out of what I've read, I'd say the following runs are some of the standout greats.
Forever Evil
Batman Eternal
Earth Two: World's End (as well as several chunks of the monthly E2 series prior to the weekly)
Futures End (with some exceptions)
assorted Lantern arcs among different series
especially Bedard's New Guardians
Azzarrello's Wonder Woman
Lemire's Green Arrow (though I feel it started out better than it ended and do also enjoy Kreisberg and Sokolowski's run)
Lemire's Justice League Dark
JLU
JLA's Vibe
Forever Evil: Blight
Threshold
Tynion's RHatO
both Johns' and Parker's Aquaman
most of the Flash, under both creative teams
all of Demon Knights
the Futures End month one-shot for the Phantom Stranger
