2 Books In The Old DC Timeline....Your Choice

Lets say you could pick 2 books that would take place in the pre Flashpoint timeline where all of the continuity prior to Flashpoint is still intact. They can be anything you want. Either pre-existing books or books you've just made up. You pick the cast, writers, artists, and plots. It's all up to you. Here are mine:

1. Justice League Unlimited

Cast: HUGE! Much like the animated series this team will consist of a core 7 members with a ton of support members who can be called in at any time to deal with whatever threat may arise. The core seven would be

Superman

Batman

Wonder Woman

Flash (Wally) Barry having just returned to life would be out readjusting to life

Martian Manhunter

Aquaman

Green Arrow

The core seven won't necessarily be in every issue...there may only be one or two of them appear at a time

Writer would be Scott Snyder. I'd like to see what he could do with a team book.

Artist would be Francis Manapul. He's amazing what other reason would I have

Justice League Unlimited would be the place where all the unresolved plot points left over from before Flashpoint could be taken care of. Some issues would only focus on one character or it may focus on a team

2. Young Justice Unlimited

Cast:

Superboy

Red Robin

Wonder Girl

Kid Flash

Aqua Lad

Miss Martian

Speedy (Mia Dearden)

Writer: Geoff Johns He was one of the best writers on Teen Titans in the past decade

Artist: Marcus To. He was amazing on Red Robin and did solid takes on the few Teen Titan guest stars there

Plot: This would be the training ground for the next generation of heroes. Where the core seven now all over the age of 18 have turned down places in the Justice League and have instead decided to train the younger heroes like Damian, Impulse, and Chris Kent among others.

.

.

I decided on two books with very large and rotating casts so that the cover as much of the old DC Universe as possible

I like it. The spy/detective work is in Brubakers wheel house. His work with Lark on Winter Soldier and Daredevil is fantastic.

Green Arrow, because I'd like to see where JT Krul's run was headed, as I was liking the direction, plus he'd still have his Arrow-family.

Red Robin, because I just want classic Tim Drake back.
