0 issues launch four new series for DC's 52

Justice league: International had been canceled and three other books along with it. It's unknown at this time what three books have been given the axe but starting with the 0 issues they will launch new title four new titles. Among those titles are Talon strait out of the Court of Owls written by Scott Snyder, Sword And Sorcery featuring Amethyst Princess Of Gemworld, Team Seven a team that was originally created to take down Superman, with Steve Trevor, Dinah Lance, Amanda Waller, John Lynch, Cole Cash, Alex Fairchild and Wade Wilson. Last but not least The Phantom Stranger by Dan DiDio and Brent Anderson, with a transformed Judas Iscariot dealing with Pandora and The Spectre, and the origins of the New 52.

There is, however, no sign of a Jeff Lemire The Robins series that we’d heard about, nor a Katana series. And definitely no Justice League Of America

So what do you think of the new titles and what books three books will be canceled to make room for these new books?

Update: Sword and Sorcery will have a Beowulf and Grendel backup

I thought it would be Dinah's husband and not Dinah that was on Team 7.
Wade Wilson makes sense though.

Now I have to go see who's on the Team. >__<

And Dinah has a husband? You mean the mother?

I meant her husband. In Birds of Prey she is wanted by the law for killing her him. She also believes she killed him. Thing is though he isn't dead. He was seen with Amanda Waller checking out the wreckage of Superboy fighting the Teen Titans.

A Talon book? seriously? I'm not quite sure how they'd manage that.

Team 7 sounds good but I prefer Dinah Lance on the Birds of prey, the other members sound good but Wade Wilson? I think you mean Slade Wilson.

Probably won't get the other two.

Why would you want JLA if you already have Justice league?

Anything with Waller in it. I hope she's leader. I really hope her 'large and in charge' personality (though the large part may be gone) has remained in tact. And I'm looking forward to Sword and Sorcery, I guess.

And lookie here, another Batman-related book! I'll pass.

The freaking Talons are getting their own book? Really?

A Phantom Stranger book, now that interests me. Team 7, not the lineup I was expecting, but ok.

I completely missed that plot point. I knew she was wanted by the law, but not because she killed her Husband. I absolutely hate that >__<

DC. I WAN' MAH OLLIE X DINAH.

Lol.

@htb106: Nice catch on the Slade/Wade thing.
I think the Justice League of America was going to be Steve Trevor's team and the one Superman and company was going to fight in the Trinity War.

I think Ill pull all 4 of them.

Team 7 is designed to fight Superman. >__>. FML.

@CitizenBane: Talon. Singular. I know it seems singular, but its less outrageous if we think about Cobb having his own series, instead of the whole Team of them. I think the character is interesting enough to have his own series.

@ReVamp: Yup funny how Steve basically tells him what to do now. :p
Oh and Dinah's husband's last name is Lance so that means her maiden name isn't.

"Talon" will probably about a rogue Talon rebelling against the Court, or something

Damn, I just made a thread about the Talon thing.

Oh well.

I'm liking the idea for it anyway.

Cancelled book predictions: Grifter, Deathstroke, Red Lanterns. I've never read any of these books, don't know how good or bad they are.

it isn't necessarily about being good or not. I read they were going to do this regularly revolving books to keep it fresh and new.

@longbowhunter: grifter is good, kepts you on the edge. deathstroke is a deathstroke fanboy's ultimate fanwank (pointlesly gory and not much story). and the forced characterization of the red lanterns is just awful. imo

I kinda saw this post coming, so I'm going to pat myself on the back for the prescience.

@Dernman: or, in other words, if the books are swing&miss they have a lot of back-ups.

I am still waiting for the New Gods/Fourth World title. Where is the New Gods/Fourth World title, DC? Cancel TDK or something, I don't care.
