Dazzler's had it rough lately. She became the mutant liaison for S.H.I.E.L.D. and some didn't take that too well, calling her a traitor and such. To make things worse, Mystique kidnapped Dazzler and was farming her to produce the Mutant Growth Hormone drug. While Dazzler was sedated and locked away, Mystique was posing as her causing even more mischief.

Dazzler was finally rescued by Magneto and she's not too happy with recent events.

As Dazzler gets back on her feet, she's giving herself a new look. This isn't the first time she's changed things up. We all know originally she was a Disco Queen. She also had that blue spandex look with the short hair and headband.

Kris Anka posted her new look on his Tumblr.

The question is, what do you think of this new look for Dazzler? Do you like the change in hair color and style? Do you like the torn costume look to match her anger?

Yeah, when Bendis shared this on Tumblr I wasn't impressed. He keeps trying to reassure us that he cares about the character, but this doesn't strike me as a believable direction...even in spite of what has happened to her.

...Though there may be some narrative revelations that might justify this. I simply can't imagine what those would be.

I'm glad someone is at least giving her a shot at the limelight.

There is nothing punk rock about a turtleneck...... Other than that I can imagine Comic Book Girl 19 is doing back flips that they made her favorite X-Men look more like her......

I love it! Dazzlerr said shes not ok. Plus shes a musician. Very good depiction of anger in fashion.

Change isn't always bad, and this I can accept....don't love it, but its acceptable.

She reminds me of her Age of X outfit. Though I like her face a bit and her turtleneck (I just like them), but the belts and the skirt............ expecially the skirt.......... just no man...... and get rid of those goddamn holes!

I hate when they get mediocre artists to do the first draft of a character redesign. Dazzler looks terrible...

dazzler was never a great character. but Ultimate Dazzler was worst character ever, a shallow cardboard cutout sterotype of emo/punk/metal culture and Bendis made her. Can't believe he's doing the exact same thing again!

I remember there was this guy on Marvel Forum and on CBR who was obsessively in love with Ultimate Dazzler. he posted nonsense for months about how Ultimate dazzler death was worst thing in the world.
I bet he's far too excited about this news.

There's nothing wrong with the design itself, but it makes no sense for Dazzler to be goth all the sudden, especially when goth hasn't been in-style for like 10 years.

I love Kris Anka's art and his redesigns. He is great.

So apparently Bendis just discovered Nu metal from the late 90's, This look is already terribly dated, I guess Bendis was attempting to modernize Dazzler by barring her from the 80's to the late 90's?, This girl look like she came from a Coal Chamber concert rocking an antichrist superstar T-shirt.

It's garbage. I guess the artist saw Joker's daughter and thought he could out do him for a crappiest attempt at an edgy redesign.
