Dazzler is a comic book character that first appeared in X-Men #130
Alison Blaire is a singer and a mutant, a performer who can change sound to light, which has thrown her into the life of a superhero against her will. She is currently back in San Francisco with the X-Men.
Origin
Alison Blaire was a talented singer who discovered she was gifted with mutant abilities in high school. While performing at a high school show, she began to emit bursts of light. After the event she was terrified and was determined to hide the fact that she was a mutant from all those around her.
When she reached adulthood, she infuriated her father, Judge Carter Blaire, declaring her intention to become a singer, rather than following in his footsteps in law. She conceived a clever showy gimmick where she could secretly use her light powers to supplement her act, and all listening assumed that she used special effects. Calling herself "The Dazzler" and adorning herself in mirrored clothes, make-up and a pair of roller skates, she started her career.On one of her fist major appearances, during the auditions, she managed to beat out the Asgardian Enchantress, despite the goddess using her magicks to enhance her singing ability. Enraged, the Enchantress attacked Dazzler at her show, where a number of prominent heroes were in attendance. Dazzler ended up defeating the Enchantress herself, and began the cycle of being a reluctant superhero.
At her first stadium show, she was forced to battle the Hulk, who had been working as Bruce Banner as a roadie. After defeating the Hulk, she was noticed by the secret government organization Project Pegasus, who wanted to study her abilities.
While at Pegasus, Alison's powers were tested exhaustively, and the scientists concluded that there were no limits to the amount of sound she could transduce into light. When an inmate of the Project, Klaw, who was composed of solid sound, escaped and battled Quasar, head of Project security, with whom Alision shared an attraction, Dazzler absorbed the criminal completely, believing she had killed him.
In her remorse, Alison escaped from Project Pegasus, and was soon after captured by Galactus. It appeared that Galactus had need of Dazzler's abilities, in that she was the only being that could safely see in a black hole. His former herald, Terrax, had betrayed Galactus, and fled from his wrath to hide in a black hole. Galactus super-charged Alison with sound, and sent her after Terrax.
Dazzler battled Terrax and in the end, defeated him, dragging him back to Galactus for punishment. She was returned to Earth, to attempt once more to further her singing career.
Although Alison had many men after her attentions, it was at this point that Warren Worthington, the Angel
, began courting her in earnest, as he saw Alison as a better alternative to the string of bimbos he'd been dating. Although things never ended up working out between them, Archangel helped reunite her with her estranged father, and find her lost mother.
Dazzler's career plummeted after this. The only regular musical work she could get was as a backing musician for interstellar rock star Lila Cheney. She was pulled from this when the Beyonder summoned a number of Earth's heroes to battle a number of villains. The Beyonder took a special romantic interest in Dazzler, declaring her the most beautiful and powerful beings he had ever met. After several attempts to win her over, which all ended unsuccessfully, the Beyonder gave up and returned her to Earth.
Soon after, Dazzler was possessed by the entity known as Malice, who summoned the X-Men for help. The X-Men managed to defeat Malice and liberate Dazzler, at which point she realized that joining the X-Men was her best option. This forced her to come to terms with the former villain Rogue, who had been one of Dazzler's worst enemies for some time.

by Lila Cheney's bodyguard Guido ( Strong Guy). She joined the band again, and not even watching the public debut of her movie could return her memory.
Eventually, she was found by Longshot, who convinced her to return with him to his home dimension of Mojoworld to return to the rebellion that he had begun. She agreed, as her memories began to return, and after their victory on Mojoworld, Allison married Longshot and become pregnant. Sadly she lost the child due to a miscarriage.
Dazzler eventually returns to Earth without Longshot and travels to England, where her music was enjoying a retro resurgence, and began singing in her original stage outfit. However, after the events of M-Day, the backlash against mutants got even worse, and Dazzler was as unpopular as ever. Returning to low-level performances Allison fell on hard times. After previous troubles in her life and no friends there to be with her, she found drugs to be the answer to her problems. Alison decided to stay on Earth, and try to restart her singing career.
Allison aids Jean Grey and her band of Genoshians in battle against a repowered Magneto who had captured Professor X. Alison informed Jean that she believed Longshot had been killed and Jean sensed that Alison had lost her baby. What actually happened has not yet been revealed, although some believe that Shatterstar may actually be her son as an adult.New Excalibur
Alison joins Excalibur and once again, returns to her singing career. During her adventures with the team Dazzler was killed multiple times only to miraculously recover soon after. The first incident occurred after a gig in an English night club where she was killed by an evil Jean Grey. She would later miraculously wake up in the hospital and diagnosed that her body was in working condition. Her second death experience occurred during battle with Black Tom Cassidy as one of his henchmen shot her in the back but after a few moments she got up from her death and aided in his defeat. So far, there has been no explanation as to these bizarre incidents.
During Excalibur's alliance with the Exiles, Dazzler was reunited with Longshot but due to his amnesia he did not remember her. However, he regained his feelings for her and some of his memories during the Exile/Excalibur team up. Longshot left the Exiles to re-establish his relationship with Dazzler, but what transpired between them remains unknown as Dazzler rejoined the X-Men in San Fransisco and Longshot joins X-Factor in Detroit.Rejoining the X-Men

Dazzler has also learned to release the stored sound inside her in it's original form, for a sonic blast.
There is no limit to the amount of sound that Alison can absorb and release as light. Galactus chose her to enter a black hole due to this. The Beyonder claimed Alison was one of the most powerful beings on Earth.
Alison is an accomplished skater and dancer, is well trained in hand-to-hand combat, and is incredibly agile, especially while on skates. Alison is also an incredibly gifted singer, once being told by Odin that she had the most beautiful voice he had ever heard.

Alison Blaire is a well known performer and displayed great performing skills especially in singing, dancing and acting. She is also an athlete and a great roller skater. Due to efficient trainings during her X-Men days, she also had become a good hand to hand combatant.
Equipment
Originally, Alison carried a radio with her to provide her with an available source of sound. After joining the X-Men, Professor X provided her with a special suit that could absorb and store sound energy. Alison has since learned to do this without the suit.
Alison also occasionally uses magnetic roller skates that attach to her boots.

In the ( Ultimate Universe) Dazzler was a singer in a punk band called Dazzler. The X-Men approached her to join but refused since the X-men cannot give her a recording contract that she damands. Emma Frost was then the one to persuade her and promised her a recording contract which became a selling point for her to join the Academy of Tomorrow. After a sentinel encounter, Dazzler was sent to join the X-Men. Unlike the other students, she is not conscious to the Institute's rules and regulations. To focus on her X-Men membership, Professor X mentally suggested her to disband the Dazzler band.When half of the team was sent on a mission regarding Longshot, she created a cabal without the knowledge of Xavier. Angel was abducted but was able to be saved, though Longshot who was proven to be guilty for murder have escaped. Back to the Institute, they were confrotned by Professor X. Fearing that Alison would be expelled, Angel said that he is the one to for mthe secret team that led to him expelled. For his selflessness, Dazzler rewarded her with a kiss and became romanticallt involved with each other.When Lady Deathstrike put her into a coma, Nightcrawler often visited her a developed an obsession over her. When he kidnaps Dazzler and the X-Men rescues her, she didn't believe that Kurt would harm him and she eventually quit the team.The ultimate version of Dazzler died in the flood caused by Magneto.
Earth-295 Age of Apocalypse
Dazzler became a popular performer after Apocalypse's first strike against America. Her father paid a woman to take her to a safer place. Unknowingly, it was Mystique
taking a disguise. Mystique then discovered that Alison was a mutant. She brought her to Magneto and became his X-man. When the X-men are out for a mission, Nemesis attacked leading to Scarlet Witch's sacrifice. Alison admired Wanda for her selflessness and continued her membership to the X-Men.
A team of X-men led by Quicksilver was then assigned on a mission together with her boyfriend Exodus. Dazzler still does not move on and waits for his reappearance for believing that he is still alive.

Earth-41001 The End
Dazzler was among those of the X-Men who joined forces with the Shi'Ar to fight Cassandra Nova who was at that time was consumed by the Phoenix. Dazzler blasts a light beam on Cassandra's head and made a whole. Though, it was not an effective attack on Nova even if Storm, Iceman and Aliyah followed her attack. Cassandra was able to fight back and defeated the four of them.Earth-2149 Marvel Zombiverse
Dazzler is rescued by Ash from being raped and eaten by an infected Winter Soldier. After saving her life, he befriended Dazzler and easily fell in love with her looks. Dazzler join him in looking for the Necronomicon book for believing that it may somehow terminate the zombie race.
Ash then discovered the aforementioned book and realized that it is useless against the zombies. He then met an imprisoned Enchantress and freed her. He then met with Dazzler again. Unexpectedly, Enchantress was infected and attacked from behind. Dazzler was able to defeat her with her powers but her fingers were bitten. Fearing that it would be a probable cause Dazzler to become a zombie, Dr. Doom blasted her to her death.
The Necronomicon then resurrected her and she became infected. She joined a zombie horde that attacked the survivors which Magneto is trying to protect.
Earth A
A Dazzler from this reality have crossovered to Earth 616 to impersonate her counterpart in that reality. She was then sent back to her original reality.X-Force Reality

Dazzler was a member of the X-Men. As they save humanity, they became popular to the public eye. During a Danger Room mission,they were put into a test including the Hellfire Club. Dazzler have been teleported to Galactus. She witnessed Terax's exile and to aid this, Galactus have chose Dazzler to become his herald. She decided to lead only those planets that are uninhabited. Following some events and conversations, Dazzler have been freed and sent back to Earth but as she arrived, she found out that Earth is already lifeless. Dazzler was a member of the X-Men that were assigned to save Jean Grey since she was abducted by Magneto. They were shocked to see Jean Grey alive after the Secret Wars. Dazzler along with her team mates have fought numerous villains with and without Jean and Scott. During the events that led to Mutant Registration Act, they had to fught the Sentinels. Dazzler along with the X-Men defeated Master Mold and the rest of the Sentinels.Earth-21993 Cable Had Destroyed the X-men and Magneto Took Over the U.S.A.
Dazzler was a member of the X-Men. The team then have to be divided into two. Dazzler was with Wolverine's team and saw Cable's death. She then joined Magneto while ruling the United States of America to save her own life from everyting that aims to kill them. Dazzler is a member of the X-Men introduced to Kitty Pryde during a Danger Room mission. Dazzler calms the tension between Kitty and Wolverine as they argue. When the X-men attempted to retrieve the power circuit from the Brotherhood, Pyro blocked their way and Dazzler told the X-men that she will take charge of fighting him so that the others can continue looking for Magneto.

Dazzler was shown performing on a bar. Cyclops was there watching her. After performing, bad guys started bullying her then Cyclops appeared and rescued her. It was Donald Pierce attempting to kidnap her to force her to join the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club.
Wolverine and the X-MenWolverine and the X-Men
Dazzler is not a part of the X-Men. She was first introduced in X-Calibre, where she was kidnapped by Mojo's lackies for his lethal combat games, but is eventually rescued by Nightcrawler. Currently, she's a mutant living in Genosha. Shen was shown performing with her powers, creating a big colorful ball of light, to entertain the other mutants in a formal occasion which both Nightcrawler and the Scarlet Witch attended. She was last seen in the first season's finale.
