Is this right? I remember reading it from somewhere, but I can't remember and wanna make sure weither it is or isn't.
They are, by concept, supposed to be unavoidable, but they are routinely avoided by people with really high speed.
To answer what you asked above, no, Batman dodging them would never happen. Dodging them requires super speed on a high scale.

I was referring to the comic versions. Pretty much everything was de-powered in the animated series, including the Omega Beams... mostly so Batman could do something cool in that episode.

But yeah, I merely posted that because the dude said Batman dodged the Omega Beams and I was fairly certain he was referring to that rather than this:
