Kurt Wagner is a prominent member of the X-Men and former member and leader of Excalibur. He possessed the Neyaphemian ability of teleportation, as well as incredible agility, wall scaling and a prehensile tail. Nightcrawler is a devout Catholic, contrasting his demonic appearance. He is a highly skilled swordsmen and former circus acrobat.
The Thing (Ben Grimm) and Darkoth (Desmond Pitt) met and became close friends when both were trained and served as pilots in the U.S. Air Force long before their subsequent transformations. Though at odds in their superhuman personas, both men remembered and respected each other as friends due to their history in the service. Desmond Pitt was transformed into 'Darkoth the death demon' by Dr. Doom and served Doom after his transformation. Eventually Darkoth died in Doom's service.
