Sinister... indeed Pt. 3
Another side splitting issue. This one packing a nice fight scene between the Redeemers crew, and Venom, as he tries to foil there plan, and what is they're plan, to rehabilitate him!
Following the last issue, the streets are on fire with turf wars between two rival gangs, and to put out the fire, Mayor Jameson recruits an Avenger, non other than Spider-man. After Dexter Bennett rants on Venom for being nothing more than Jameson's lap dog, Venom leaves Bennett a present on his desk, a regurgitated squirrel. After humiliating Jonah in his own office, Venom receives a police call that terrorist are hiding in an abandon building. Who it really is, the Redeemer, and his band of micrients. After trying to convince Venom to reform, a fight breaks out, leaving several dead, and the rest dismembered. After the Redeemers defeat, he sends an envelope to the mayor, who's contents are photos showing Venom talking to the two rival gangs.
This series has rally worked hard to make Venom a more humorous character, and it's worked. With all it's twist and turns, putting J. Jonah Jameson with whom he believes is Spider-man, and Gargan with Jameson, it's a circle of pure hate. Also, the caption that reads ow on the front had me laughing before I even read it. A 4 in my book, so go enjoy, and nice readings.
