Elektra Is Finally Back
The Story:
Elektra has returned in the aftermath of the Secret Invasion and H.A.M.M.E.R. is running tests on her trying to figure out what the Skrulls did to her and why. Paladin attempts to kill her but Elektra escapes the H.A.M.M.E.R. facility with the knowledge that there is a 82 million dollar bounty on her life. Now on the loose, Norman Osborn is forced to send Bullseye after her. Two other unknown assassins are trailing Elektra as well
My Thoughts:
Zeb Wells who is probably best known as a writer on Amazing Spider-Man is truly on top of his game here. His writing was superb from the amazing action sequences to all the dialogue that was written to perfection. The story was great and ironic considering that Elektra is known as the worlds best assassin but now she's the one with the price on her head (82 million dollars I might add). I love how Wells made Bullseye one of the people to go after her. It's only fitting considering he once killed her. The dialogue between the two characters was a high point for me. The added appearance of Wolverine was also a nice move on Well's part.

The art is by Clay Mann who I'm not familiar with at least to my knowledge. Nevertheless, he does a fantastic job capturing everything Zeb Wells wrote. The action scenes he drew were truly beautiful. I really loved the way he drew Elektra. The colors were nicely done as well. Cover artist Lee Bermejo also did an outstanding job on the covers.
This was a nicely executed tie-in to the Dark Reign story arc. You can pick this up and understand everything going on easily without having to be up to speed with everything else going on in Dark Reign. I would highly recommend reading this if you're a fan of Elektra. Zeb Wells did a great job writing her character and you're not going to want to miss out on her return.
