I did not think this book would be very good or that I would get it past the first couple of issues. Wrong. Love Deadato's art and the mood of the book is great. Moonstone/Ms. Marvel is just so much fun to watch and a cool charachter. I really enjoy the dynamic of the team, as you have those that are former Thunderbolts, those are simply just crazy and those that dont really want to be there but get caught up in it. Osborne is over the top and the juggling act that goes into keeping this together is just great. As for the Utopia story, it is a lot of fun as I enjoy seeing Cloak and Dagger back in action. And, I guess I was asleep when Mimic came back. I havent seen him in, like 20 years. What am I not reading that I missed him? Namor I could live without, but anyting with Emma Frost and Ms. Marvel is going to have a lot of attitude and twists. Great story and an even better team book. Enjoy

So I usually love Dark Avengers, there have been slip ups over the course of the series of course, but not as much as this one I think. I mean, we're without our creative team of course and Matt Fraction is a witty writer, but the interaction we saw in the first six issues is missing. Also, time with the Dark Avengers, that was also missing.
So, the riots are dying down a bit, mainly due to the fact that the Dark X-Men break a few noses and take names. The mutant community is falling to Dark Beast torture machine & Emma Frost begins to see through the cracks. Cyclops has a talk with the man with the plan, Norman Osborn and for lack of a better word, it goes south. The Avengers (Dark brew) get really pissed that the Dark X-Men are getting the next wave of PR because Norman wants to push his newest team. This breaks out into a fight behind Osborn's back. So, we're getting what Matt Fraction personally promised me in the Marvel Podcast for this crossover.
Writing, good. Art, good. If it had been Bendis and Deodato it would have come off better. This is a must read for Utopians and it's Dark Avngers, so it has to be read. Pick it up if you like this series. Classic fans (who have existed for 6 months now) come back when the event is over for classic Dark Avengers storytelling.
