Dr. Karla Soffen a.k.a Moonstone of the Thunderbolts is approched by Osborn and given a Ms.Marvel's 70's retro costuume. She denies at first stating she likes being Moonstone. But Osborn, who is a master of manipulation, mentions that Moonstone is a criminal woh should be locked up, she accepts with a smile.

In a bar, the son of Wolverine, Daken is about to enter for a drink wearing a cowboy hat similar to what his dad does, he sees Osborn with Ares having beer and pizza, Daken notices Osborn and begins to approach when Ares makes a rude comment about his conceivment, whoich causes Daken to pop his claws and Osbron calmly cools him down, and mentions that Daken's Father is a Samurai Warrior, and gives him the classic 80's brown Wolverine costume to Daken and says it will anger his Dad, which he (Osborn) wants to do, and Daken accepts.

Ares and Sentry are in the room as well. Carol talks to them asking why they are with Osborn. Ares acts lazy and mentions it's cause it is his home, and the Sentry has no real answer, which Danvers sheds tears, and flies out of the window in a rage.

Bullseye is in his Hawkeye mantle given to him by Osborn who sees Moonstone in the retro Ms,Marvel outfit. They are in a private room, and they see modifications to Tony Stark's Iron Man armor, and that the armor is what IOsborn il wear himself.

    There WILL Be SPOILERS!!!!!

Like many people I was not completely content with the end of Secret Invasion, but I knew something interesting should be coming out of everything. Dark Avengers is the first real good result of Dark Reign.
While not the best use of paper I've ever read, this was very good first issue of a concept like Avengers being thrown in a completely different way. The Dark Avengers are made up of a lot them are former criminals, if not current ones, like the Thunderbolts were when they premiered. The ironic  part is that most of the team are from the last generation of Thunderbolts.
Bulleye becomes Hawkeye, Moonstone becomes Ms. Marvel, Wolverine's son, Venom is their Spider-Man & Daken, is their Wolverine. Ok, so the last one is not  a Thunderbolt. Oh yeah, Osborn is Iron Patriot. Yeah, I was thinking it was going to Luke Cage from the last issue of New Avengers & that the cover announcements were there to throw everyone off. I was wrong.
The actual issue covers the creation of the team, Carol Danvers rebelling against Osborn, Ares and Sentry explaining that they are a) killers & b) in debt to Osborn and Norman finding all of Tony's old armor. All of this ending with the big reveal.

Read it, maybe come back for #2. Your call.

There are currently 6 Avengers books, 4 in continuity. It has become annoying, like Wolverine. However, Dark Avengers delivers in a surprising fashion. And what do you know? It's written by Bendis, a guy I wasn't too keen on after that mediocre Secret Invasion book. This book was good fun. It was nice to see the process of putting the team together, especially with Bullseye. I'm incredibly fed up with the onslaught of crappy S.I./Dark Reign tie-ins, all of them incredibly boring, and it was nice to see one that actually delivered.

I loved Ellis's run on T-Bolts and this continues it and adds a bit more wild cards. I like the idea of Iron Patriot being Iron Man and Captain America, and all of the identies for the villians. Love every character in here except Daken. I was hesistant at first but pick this up. The writing is very new reader friendly and the art is great.

my first 3 star review, why? You're about to know.

I don't hate this book, nor i love it, i just "like it" I'm not the type, comic books for me are meant as a form of literature, read my reviews and all that you'll see is pure greatness. Brian Bendis, the mainstream writer of the century (he'll get as overrated as Jeph Loeb) Now takes us in a mistery-plagued ride called Dark Avengers (this name is just... Lame...) One of the main books of the Dark Reign storyline, so far, so good, i like big events (Do i?) when you get to see real change (take that DC!) Although i haven't read SI (and i probably never will) I got some reviews from my friends and they gave me a "good" Score, it wasn't the best series ever, but i wasn't rubbish either, Norman Osborn is going up on my fave villains list, he's just acting like a fascist-ultra-right man, proably, that way of thinking will totally hook me to the book, i'd like to see the Dark Avengers as a radical force, rather than the dudley-do-right Avengers i've known for so long. (i'll always respect them, but let's embrace change for a change)  Mike Deodato Jr. Suits the mood of the book perfectly, hope he stays for a long time. One of the aspects i loved of this issue was the fact that SHIELD is no more, there's HAMMER and they're here to kick some ass, i loved SHIELD; but as i said before, let's embrace change. Meta-Humans chosen by Osborn are not my favorites and the super-persona they were given isn't just the kind i like... I'd have loved a fascist look better, i know they're reformed villains... but come on, i'm sure they'd have come up with something better for'em. Anyways, this first issue sure is worth a read, if you're not too crazy to buy it, then don't do it because i don't know how long i'll be hooked up to this series myself, if this guy Bendis starts pulling off "CRAPTACULAR" Revelations and stories i'll probably abandon ship ASAP.
