Ok,Dark Avengers #2 was a very exciting comic for me.I am a huge fan of anything Avengers and this comic just reassured me.The way everyone is being portrayed is really good.I like how Norman is acting more like Tony did when he was Director of S.H.I.E.L.D...like a real leader.I love how everyone else is taking the roles of other characters but are still themselves.I also enjoyed the humor in this book.First with Victoria Hand offering to replace Venom with D-Man,a homeless superhero and then with the new Ms.Marvel (Karla Sofen) aka. Moonstone ragging on Daken because she didn't know who he was.The team surprisingly seems to work pretty well together and get along. You would think some of these characters would clash just based on their nature. For me this book gave back the Avengers feel...back when New Avengers was reforming.Everyone getting acquainted and things like that and everyone kind of being skeptical about the team thing and the team not really matching up well, everyone seems kind of randomly thrown in.I like that tone in the beginning of a comic such as this.

The story wasn't the only thing that caught my eye though. The visuals were perfect for this book.Deodoto.Jr had to do this book.Nobody but him could have made this book come alive like this. The team has a Thunderbolts feel to it and his art was great in that and now with Dark Avengers it still sticks and what's better he'll get to use alot more characters because Dark Avengers has a larger jurisdiction.Overall it was a good book.I wouldn't say as a whole it was perfect but definitely worth a purchase and a read.

After a brilliant first issue, Norman Osborn as Iron Patriot leads HIS Avengers’ on their first mission!  This issue was almost perfect for me.  The only problem I really had with it was that Deodato had Norman’s face look too much like Tommy Lee Jones…it just took away from the issue.  I also loved the 2 different covers: the first one as seen here just rocks and the second shows Moonstone’s machinations.

Roll Call: Iron Patriot (Norman Osborn) is awesome as the new leader of the Avengers, H.A.M.M.E.R., and continuing with the Thunderbolts.  I love how political he is nowadays, but keeping himself under control.  He wears some old Iron Man armor that Tony did not destroy.  Ms. Marvel (Moonstone) is the Avenger’s field leader and as always is working with things behind the scenes to screw everyone over.  Spider-Man (Venom) is funny in this book as the resident “can I eat it” character…ha ha.  Hawkeye (Bullseye) is hilarious with his creepy comments and rebellious nature.  Captain Marvel (Marvel Boy) is new to me, but I did see some of his attitude in a recent Ms. Marvel comic.  Wolverine (Daken) is as Norman put it their “Wolverine” they have one and we have one.  He is Wolverine’s rebellious son.  Finally, 2 former Avengers are also members: Sentry and Ares.  Ares really puts Norman in his place when he bosses Ares around.  Sentry is bad-ass…he is similar to a puppet or puppy Superman…Norman tells him to rip off someone’s head and he will do it not realizing if that was bad or not.  In this book, we also see H.A.M.M.E.R.’s second in command: Victoria Hand.  Also, Morgana Le Fay and Dr. Doom make appearances.  Pick up this book it is freaking good! Way to go Marvel…much better than their stupid stupid stupid Spider-Man crap.

This comic is not bad for the awesome Deodato art, but for the horrible writing. Brian Bendis does what he does best, deaming eomen and making them look unimportant. The Sentry (who is a hero) rips off Morgana Le Fays Head! Seriously!!! A women getting her head ripped off? By a supposed hero? This book completley offends me, because I always raised to respect women and treat them as equal, not to put them equal as to us guys in comic book gory deaths. Anytime a woman is killed by a man in a comic, it disturbs me every single time it happens. Now lest get away from the misognyism for a bit. This book is nothing new at all, once again it shows another talk talk talk talk talk Bendis talking hedas junk, it deals also with a stupid who cares Doctor Doom/Morgana Le Fay problem in Latveria, which leads to the whole Dark Avengers vs. Le Fay where as mentioned the Sentry rips her head off. Ending with a stupid cliff hanger off Venom (who is no longer the villian who he used to be back in the late 80's early 90's thank to Mark Millar) biting down on Ares. So if you want to read some reallly good dark reign books, then look to Andy Diggle's run on Thunderbolts, it is a way better series than this stupid one is. A reason why taht would be is because Andy Diggle is a better writer than Bendis. So as for this new crap, pedestrian, misogynistic, awful, boring, stupid, waste of money, if I was 10 I think this was awesome, but I am older and more sophisticated, so please everybody, STAW AWAY FROM THIS TITLE, IT IS COMPLETE PURE GARBAGE! DON'T EVEN LOOK AT IT IF IT IS EVEN ON SALE FOR FREE!
