Darien is a young kid whose father was an astronaut who died in a mission to another planet. He never fully recovered from that and in school is bullied. He then was asked to go on a study date, but the girls former boyfriend got to Darien first and had him strung up on a flagpole. That is when his magic powers began to manifest and soon he is hurled through space onto a space ship and he soon learned about his alien heritage.
