Back in October at NYCC, we got the chance to see some footage from the upcoming Marvel's Daredevil series, which will debut on Netflix. While most of the cast was there, there was no firm mention of a start date. Now we know when to expect it.

According to Marvel, Marvel's Daredevil will premiere on April 10 at 12:01 a.m. PT. That's a Friday. That means you might want to make certain plans since all the episodes will be available at once.

It's also mentioned that Daredevil will be followed by Jessica Jones (with Krysten Ritter), Iron Fist, Luke Cage (Mike Colter), all leading up to a combined Defenders series. Each show will be released about a year apart.

Will you watch all the episodes as soon as they're available or will you spread them out to savor them all?

I'll watch them all at once. Since it's coming out on a weekend, I'll probably just watch Daredevil.

That's great that they are all being released at once. Nice not having to space things out for advertising revenue. I was not expecting it to hit in March. Hopefully the quality is good.

I also thought it was May. The article says spring? I didn't read March 6th specifically, but that'd be cool so long as everything's completed.

I have it marked on my calendar. I am going to binge watch the hell out of it. Then I will make another excuse to binge watch it again by introducing it to my sister. I got her into super hero movies, and my unpopular opinion was that the Ben Affleck movie was pretty cool... not the best, but still pretty cool. ;D I just think blind lawyer by day, and blind super ninja with super sonar senses by night is so cool. I think this series will be awesome.

Will watch a few episodes a night until its finished. Depends how many episodes and the quality of it.

Wait each show is a year apart? -_- why?

Wait, when did Marvel say that they would be a year apart? I never heard that. I had assumed they would be roughly a half a year apart (two shows a year, like we typically get two movies a year), since we started getting Jessica Jones news roughly a half a year after we started getting Daredevil news. I figured that meant the production cycles were roughly 6 months apart. Anyway, I'll be really bummed if this is the case. I was hoping that these would come out fast enough that in a couple years we would be talking about other Netflix shows to follow, such as Moon Knight, or Punisher, or Elektra.

I refuse to be forced into getting a netflix account. When is the box set coming out on Blu-Ray? It's already been a long wait. I can wait a little longer.

I will absolutely check this out, most likely won't be marathoning it or anything though

You do realize that Netflix is every bit of awesome, right? I have the same feeling reading this as I do when my mother talks about the cell phone being some sort of fad (she has never had one).

Damn, for an instant I thought this was a trailer.

A year is pretty depressing, though I think I recall them saying that the shows would gradually move closer and closer together, so we might get Jessica Jones sometime in early 2016, then Cage mid 2016, then Iron Fist late 2016. The CEO might have just meant JJ. Just being optimistic :/

I will look look into it. Im not big into Marvel but this is something new they are doing with Netflix and Daredevil is on the darker side of comic writing as well as it looks like they are taking ideas from Frank Millers run so it could really go either way for me. And I really don't care about Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, or Luke Cage.

Hey Ed, I'm in the same boat as chalk. In fact I had Netflix a couple years ago and it sucked imo. I've been saying the exact same thing that I'll wait for it to come out on disk.

BTW, I'm under 40 and have never had a cell phone nor needed one..... If you can't reach me at home it's because I'm busy.

@edblank: It's not awesome if you're not going to use the service. Quite frankly, I don't have the kind of free time available to sit around watching movies, and television shows, all day. I'm doing pretty well to free up an hour a night, each week night, to watch the few shows I do follow on a regular basis.

And starring Clint Howard as the Purple Man? No? Well, he'd make a nice Puppet Master if a non-sucky FF movie ever gets made.

I'll spread each episode a week apart unless there's a huge cliffhanger, and I must know what happens next.

Pretty sure it still is, it says about a year apart. So expect around Nov-Dec for JJ.
