No matter how many haters he's got here, I absolutely adore(d) his run and just needed to get this off my chest.

I'm already mourning for Matt, because I can tell that something awful is going to happen as soon as somebody else takes over, like Bullseye killing Kirsten or so.

@billy_batson: I just don't see the problem with Daredevil being the one crime noir book at Marvel. There is no other books like that right now.

Any source for this claim? I don't doubt it happening since Daredevil's new black and red costume being a big move away from Waid's colourful Silver Age inspired run coupled with Waid being the new Avengers writer indicates this is going to happen.

You can always read crime noir books from other publishers.

@lvenger: I think they might have even mentioned it in interviews before that. All I need to know now is who will be writing\drawing the new book and if it will be a Daredevil book or a Defenders book. (I want Andrea Sorrentino)

@jonny_anonymous: Who do you want writing it, either idealistically or from a writer currently working at Marvel?

@lvenger: I'd love to see Jeff Lemire's take on him, if you've read his Green Arrow or Bloodshot you can tell he's really good at taking a character in new directions whilst staying true. Wouldn't mind also seeing Cullen Bunn or Greg Rucka having a shot.

@jonny_anonymous: Read the former, I thought you'd pick him. Bunn could do a decent job but practically, he's got several titles at DC. Rucka could definitely write a strong Daredevil run, his Gotham Central and Batman work is a testament to that. But his primary concern is going to be on Lazarus for the forseeable future, I know he's focused on that.

@lvenger: Yeah Bunn writes a lot of books so I could see that affecting his work and yeah Ricks is focusing on his Indy work these days.

The dude has been a cancer to the whole Daredevil mythos.

I liked the beginning of Waid's run, simply because there was less of the grim-dark crap, but he really went off the rails towards the end.
