    Daredevil & Kingpin Team Up

    The Story:
Wilson Fisk meets a woman in his attempt to move on with his life and start over until her abrupt murder by The Hand. This causes him to head back to Hells Kitchen and strike up a deal with Daredevil to take down The Hand. But the Kingpin has his own agenda as he springs The Owl from prison to use as part of his charade. Daredevil knows he can't trust the Kingpin and formulates his own plan eventually culminating in what is most likely going to be the biggest decision he is ever going to make in his life.

    My Thoughts:
Once again Ed Brubaker has done an outstanding job on this series crafting yet another compelling story. His ability at writing drama that grasps your complete attention is incredible. Brubaker sheds light on what the Kingpin has been up to lately which was nice to see. For a moment it seemed as if he was going to turn over a new leaf but then karma strikes and steals everything from him. The surprises didn't end there. In a bold move, Daredevil and the Kingpin form an alliance to take down The Hand. While neither trusts the other, they both have their own agenda that leads up to a shocking cliffhanger.

The art is done by Michael Lark who is the series regular artist. He is accompanied by David Aja in one issue who is the regular artist for the Iron Fist series. If you've been keeping up with the Daredevil series then you know what to expect in terms of artwork. I really liked the double-paged cover for issue #500 and the variant by Alex Ross.

This was definitely an exciting volume that contained huge evens that are only just the stepping stones for something much bigger to come. I'm enjoying this series a lot and would highly recommend reading this.

    Rating: 5/5
