    Daredevil #509 Shadowland

That was surprisingly good. I've heard some pretty bad things about the Shadowland story so far, but this issue was actually good. The writing from Diggle and Johnson is great and they seem to know how to write all of these characters like they are supposed to be. The art by De La Torre is also really good and seems like it was painted, which it probably was. The art may not be for everyone, but if you liked Alex Maleev's painted work on Daredevil than you'll probably like this. As for the narrative of this issue, not too much happens but that's fine. At least they didn't bite off more than they could chew. And luckily they have a re-cap page because I wasn't able to get Shadowland #1 or #2 or Daredevil #508. And even though I missed those three issues I still really enjoyed this issue. If you're a fan of Daredevil than this is definitely worth owning, even if you haven't read the other Shadowland books.

We're getting a little bit more info on the whole Shadowland situation, piece by piece, and it's all gonna be marvelous when it comes together. The writing here is top notch. Diggle and Johnston ...

The only real bad part about this issue is that it felt like it ended too quickly. I understand that Daredevil's main book is acting as prologue to the individual chapters of Shadowland, but I still would have liked a little more here. Just to nit pick briefly, I don't think that Elektra would really complain about the smell of a sewer. That felt a bit out of character for one of the steeliest and deadliest killers in the Marvel Universe. Otherwise, this is an enjoyable issue that helps push thi...
