    Beware of Darkness

I am thankful that in this issue we find DareDevil hasn't succumbed to the dark side completely yet. Here we find DD having lucid dreams of all his former loves (Dakota, Milla, Elektra). They try to warn DD to save himself as he falls into the depths of hell. This sounds like pretty good advice although it may have come too late. Waking up and realizing it was a dream, DD is sitting on a throne ( similar to the one you would find Lucifer on ) surrounded by the Hand. Diggle redeems himself and DD's honor as we find out along with White Tiger and Black Tarantula that Master Izo is alive. They pretty much find out after they tell DD that they didnt sign up for killing Master Izo. Master Izo controlled his heartbeat to beat incredibly slow imitating death, fooling the Hand. The court room scene is very dramatic as Foggy gets himself thrown in jail for contempt of court  when he realizes after the new judge (who took over for Judge Walden) finds his clients guilty, has been bought. It's definitely one of Foggy's best scenes. Later we find that the judge was indeed bought by the Kingpin.  At the books end, on Oscorp Cargo Dock  in the middle of a drug deal that is going way too smoothly, the dealers realize its a sting and give themselves up. But it seems the police were going to frame the dealers by killing them for resisting arrest, taking the money and the drugs for themselves.  It's at the conclusion when we are treated to a beautiful splash page by artist Roberto De La Torre  of DD and the Hand attacking both the cops and the dealers. This being Andy Diggle's second issue, I have to say he has got me coming back wondering what's next for Matt Murdock or is there anything left of him.

      Holy smokes! 0

I'm kicking myself for not checking out this title sooner. I have heard great reviews for a long time but I never found DD that interesting as a character. Truthfully, I never gave him a chance. I based my opinion solely on the short appearances he'd make in the various Spider-man cartoons. This book is amazing!   ...
