Daredevil 22
Daredevil teams up with the Superior Spider-Man. However, will the Man without Fear realize that this Spider-Man is much different?
The Good
This Daredevil title is really special. The joint talent of writer Mark Waid and the art by Chris Samnee and Javier Rodriguez make reading each issue a joyride. The creative talent on this title fits Daredevil like a glove as they know how to capture the suspense and tone of this Daredevil comic.
Mark Waid's writing on this series is really distinctive. There are stories in this series that are nonstop suspense [much like when DD was loosing his powers in Latveria] but at other times Waid writes stories that go at a slower pace [like this story]. Taking time to focus on the small things in DD's life-like friendship is an important aspect of this series that continues to make it great. Mark Waid really does a good job with this issue by taking things slow and eventually revealing at the end of the issue that Foggy has cancer. Ultimately making things more interesting for Daredevil's character and how he will react to the situation.
The artwork by Chris Samnee and colors by Javier Rodriguez really make this Daredevil comic enjoyable. The bright colors and the design of the characters really show how Daredevil sees his world and through the art captures all of Mark Waid's suspenseful moments.
The Bad
No complaints.
The Verdict
Pick up this series as things are really going to get interesting with the issues to come! The art, story, and overall tone of the comic is just a real treat.
