Alan devises a plan to get Quinn back from the younger, cloned version of himself. Will it work?

The Good

The mini-series comes to a close next month, but that doesn't mean it's gotten slow or boring by any means. Alan devises a plan to get Quinn back and kill off the cloned version of himself. This is one roller coaster of an issue that will leave you on the edge of your seat. It's an epic game of cat and mouse, and this issue is a prime example of that. It has one fantastic ending that makes you wonder how this will all conclude. It grabs you in and never lets you go.

Since the start of this series, writer Nathan Edmundson has done an amazing job with this story, the characters, and the dialogue. I love how this series and issue is paced, and it really captures the essence of a spy thriller. Everything, story-wise, made me very happy about this issue.

Nic Klein's art really stands out here. As this series goes on, it seems to get better and better. His two-page splash of a bus crashing into a streetcar is amazing. The amount of detail, including smaller elements like color work and overall movement of the piece is monumental. That and the final page of this issue are some of my favorite pieces he's done so far. Klein is also fantastic with establishing shots. He is so good with setting a scene, especially with using all these real life landmarks. You could take all the characters and the story out of this book, and I'd still read it. That's how much I love what Nic Klein has done here.

The Bad

The giant sound effects letter was a bit of a distraction a few times. This was the only complaint I could come up with for this issue.

The Verdict

I've been praising this book since issue one with good reason, it's damn good. Everything about this mini-series and this issue is phenomenal. This issue has a fantastic story that will no doubt lead to an amazing conclusion. It has a cliffhanger ending that will keep you at the edge of your seat. The writing is top-notch, and the art is some of my favorite out of any comic book.

My only very minor complaint was that the sound effect wording became distracting a couple times.

Overall, I highly recommend this issue and this series.
