This French Canadian series that started in 1955 tells the adventures of Dan Cooper of the Royal Canadian Air Force and his battle against air pirates, spies and aliens.

Like Tintin the series has been reprinted a number of times, the most resent of which was in 2009, it has never been translated into English.

However it is of note that the FBI believes that legendary skyjacker B. D. Cooper took his name from the lead character owing to fact that he didn’t call himself B. D. Cooper but Dan Cooper (the B. D. came from newspapers getting their facts wrong) and the month before the high jacking the comic Dan Cooper had a daring parachute themed adventure.
