Ciudad Juarez, State of Chihuahua, Mexico, is a city ruled by the law of the druglords. The area has been the theatre of hundreds of unsolved murders, whose victims were young women. At a criminologists' panel, set up in Ciudad Juarez by the victims' relatives, two experts are due to speak – Edward Shirrefs, the famous investigator from Quantico FBI Academy; and Ann Spade, good-looking junior detective from the police department of Sheffield, UK, whose only entitlement seems to be her encounter with another dangerous serial killer, Jeff Carter. Acting as a self-entitled "vigilante", Carter is at the panel, incognito. But who’s his prey? The good-looking Ann, who had been his lover? Or is he perhaps trying to stop the mysterious criminal El Vampiro? Harlan, Kurjak and Tesla are in Ciudad Juarez, too, to try and understand if the unsolved crimes have been perpetrated by a Master of the Night. Wading through hot bullets and dozens of dead bodies, all the characters of this extraordinary adventure will follow the tracks of “El Vampiro”!
