I read a couple of Dcs solicts and I am going to make the bold prediction that Damian Wayne , one of my favourite Batman characters by the way , is going to die .

Take a look at the evidence and tell me what you think.

    - Robin is not shown on this cover of Batman and Robin #19 (you can see a bit of Robin cape , but not which Robin it is) , the solicts mention Batman meets someone that changes his life in one of his darkest nights.

    - Batman Inc will soon be cancelled ( Damian is one of the main characters of the book ). The solicts mention that Batman is wanted for murder . Could Batman have come close to crossing the line after his sons death ?

    - The solicts of Batman #18 mention a great tragedy , that shakes Batman to the core .

    - A new Batman anual comes out , that might serve the purpose of exploring Damians relationship with Bruce a bit more before he is killed off.

    - Damian will team up with Dick Grayson in an issue of Nightwing . If he has to die , wouldn`t Dc let him meet his old friend and mentor one last time ?

    - Worlds Finest solicts mention that Helena will be personally affected by a tragedy in the dcu . Obviously this tragedy will involve the Batfamily . And the only member of the Batfamily Helena has met so far is Damian.

    Update ;

    Batman Inc #11

    - Batman’s world has been devastated by his war against Talia, but is he willing to give up on his own humanity?

    Batman and Robin #20

-The massive fallout from the recent events in BATMAN, INCORPORATED take Batman to the very limits of his sanity…will The Red Hood pull him back—or push him over the edge?

Ok , I think the fact that Red Hood , the former "dead" Robin appears in Batman and Robin # 20 makes it pretty obvious that my prediction is correct .

On top of that , at the beginning of Batman Inc Bruce is standing in a graveyard in front of two graves and tells Alred that he will give up being Batman ...

And in Batman and Robin #17 Damian has a nightmare in which a dead Batman has something interesting to say ... - http://www.newsarama.com/php/multimedia/album.php?aid=48750

I don't want that to happen but it's kinda possible. He became pretty easily one of my favorite characters and it indeed will be a big tragedy.

He should have been cut out of the New 52 to begin with to ease the ridiculous Batman timeline so that Tim Drake could be just becoming Robin, so if he does, it might be DC realizing they made a mistake.

Having said that, I like Damian, but I won't cry if he does.

ive realized this too, and the solicits do have some clues to the matter, but what makes me think that he wont die is his appearance in NW 17. i doubt he would die afterwards, because that wouldnt make sense if he survived the Joker's plot and then dies later on, unless its Talia or one of Talia's assassins

Well ,I think he is going to die in Batman Inc ...that would make sense , since the series (and Grant Morrisons Batman run that brought us Damian in the first place) will be over soon ...

Considering there's been no mention of Batman And Robin being cancelled, does this mean that there'll be a new Robin pretty soon if Damian get's killed off?

My guess would be Harper Row.

Jason showing up in B&R makes a lot of sense if Damian gets the six feet under treatment. Who better to try and pull Bruce out of whatever hole he's going to be in than a robin he's already 'failed'. I know a lot of people would love to see Jason remain distant from the bat family, but I wouldn't mind seeing some of those wounds healed, although I would like him to retain his slightly more lethal methods.

Also, if Bats moves on to a new Robin (Harper Row) that quickly after Damian's death, I will be severely disappointed. Too soon, man. Too soon.

I agree that would be too soon, but it seems possible that she might be eventually. She seems to be written in such a way that she's going to be important in some way.

I would rather see Harper as the new oracle . Replacing Damian with Scott Snyders creation is not a good a idea . Not very respectful towards the fans of the character . But I guess Dc does not care about that sort of thing anyway ...

Well isn't it implied that Damian made a literal deal with the Devil in the Batman 666 world? I guess dying allows him to do that.

If they kill off Damian they will have a way of bringing him back. Hes obviously too much of a liked character for DC to sweep him under the rug. Not saying they wont kill him off but he wont be gone for long.

Sounds like dad might be forced to take his son to mom and take him for a dip in the Lazarus Pit. Or dad would probably be against that, so mom would probably handle it herself and get Damian on her side.

I like Damian and wouldn't want to see him go but sometimes the popular characters do need to die or there's no impact and less suspense.

I'd only be a fan of killing off Damian if it means (a) he gets a great, heroic death and (b) we get to see more of Tim Drake in the Bat-verse. Please don't misinterpret. I love Damian, I think he's one of the most fun characters to have in any book. I'm looking forward to his appearance in NW #17 because those two characters have such great chemistry. And we've seen him evolve from a brat to a lovable brat. I think people would hate Morrison for killing him off, but if done right it could make for an absolutely great story.

Damien is so popular, he could probably support his own book. So if they kill him, it will just be for a year max like they are doing with spider man. Damien will be back.

@danhimself: I love it. Hopefully the final volume of Inc. has this as its cover. I'd like to see it lined up along Batman RIP and Final Crisis. I wonder if RIP has a different meaning this time, as it did with Batman RIP.

I've been such a vocal supporter of Morrison for many many years now. Even when everyone else thinks he's gone ape, I still stand behind him.

If he kills Damien though, he looses my readership, at least for the foreseeable future.

Never really liked him.then he kinda grew on me.Not enough to care if they kill him though because characters never really stay dead.unless your used for the plot like the waynes, the only thing thats gonna happen after hes gone is the herpaderp clock which ends with his revival
