I've heard people say that Damian and Bruce cannot (or should not) function as Batman and Robin. I disagree, I think they would make a great dynamic duo once Dick is not Batman anymore. When that happens they would have to go with Damian, wouldn't they? Or would they demote Tim and make him Robin again, or find a new character. Tell me what you think.

I welcome any and all opinions.    

The father and son thing would be interesting.
When the time comes though DC will probably just retcon Damien out of existence.

I think he's too much of an important part of the Bat mythos to be retconned out of existence, that and he's so badass

well, its been made clear that when Bruce returns there will be 2 batmen. that being, Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson. and i think that Damian's going to say as Robin because it's been implied that Damian is soon joining the Teen Titans (temporary or not?) and therefore staying as Robin...unless, of course, HE GOES DARKSEID!!! ;)

No I want Damian to stick  with Dick. and Damian is probably Jason's son.

Just read some spoilers on it. I suppose Tim will be working with Bruce again?

      Damian in some ways would be better tutored in some ways by Dick because he has to go through or will have to go through many things that Dick did when he was Robin, such as joining the Teen Titans, getting out of his mentors shadow which most likely won't happen because Dick understands this and Damian doesn't accept when people underestimate him. He will also have to become more responsible and mature which will probably take some time.
      Bruce would still be a good mentor but more through skill and basically how to be a hero while Dick will teach him how to be a skilled sidekick\teen hero.

I think Bruce and Damian will be shakey at first. After all, Damian is used to working with Dick and Bruce hasn't been there. After a while, I reckon that they will both loosen up to the fact that they are working together. It will be hard on Damian when Bruce first starts to train him and it will be hard on Bruce when he's first training Damian but that's just because there not used to each other yet... 
 
Well that's what I think anyway. Personally, I love the idea of Father and Son :D
