Origin
Dalresin was born and raised in Cairhien, the son of a noble family. He had three brothers: Aldecain,
Laman and Moressin. Unlike his brothers he was a quiet man, and sought employment as a scholar. He and his first wife had three daughters, Anvaere, Innloine and
Moiraine. After the death of his first wife he married a fellow scholar, earning the scorn of his brothers. He died shortly after his youngest daughter, Moiraine, left Cairhien to train at the White Tower.
Creation
Dalresin was created by
Robert Jordan for his book series
The Wheel of Time, making his first appearance in the prequel,
New Spring. He made his first appearance in comics in
Wheel of Time: New Spring #4, written by Jordan and
Chuck Dixon and illustrated by
Mike Miller Major Story Arcs
New Spring
His image is used when his daughter Moiraine is being tested to be raised full
Aes Sedai. One of the sisters testing her, probably
Elaida a'Roihan, creates a scenario in which Dalresin comes to her begging for her help in the hope that it will cause Moiraine to fail.
Powers and Abilities
Dalresin was very intelligent. Though he undoubtedly has experience in Daes Dae'mar, the system of political intrigue also known as the Game of Houses, he probably did not use this knowledge much.
