Origin

Itsu, Wolverine’s Japanense wife, was in her last stages of pregnancy, but was murdered by the Winter Soldier while he was trying to get Wolverine back to Madripoor. Logan thinks that his son is dead along with his mother, but in fact, after Itsu's death, a strange man wearing a trench coat, who hides his identity, cuts the baby [Daken] from his mother's womb and leaves her lying on the floor. Daken survives this event because get got his father's healing factor.

Later, disguised as a SHIELD officer, Daken snuck into SHIELD headquarters and brutally stabbed Dum Dum Dugan, who has recently been confirmed to have survived. He then proceeded to cut Wolverine, who was imprisoned in the agency, across the stomach, and left him to bleed.

Wolverine (of course) survived, and escaped from the agency (revealed to be helped by Daken). Daken next is found in Berlin at the home of some woman, whose emotions he has been viciously playing with. He leads her to believe that he was having an affair with a man that, in reality, he was actually going to kill in order to steal a passport (there was no real affair what-so-ever). Knowing that she would drink a whole bottle of burgundy to ease her pain, he poisons it, which kills her. He ends the relationship and her life so that no loose ends could be left to tie him to his crimes. As he walks through the streets, he is contacted by an innocent messenger about his master’s ultimate goal. Daken kills the messenger, then shows up on a train going to Brussels, observing his father in a nearby stolen car. He receives a phone call from a friend (the recently resurrected Cyber) who informs him of his father’s destination. He meets father in a bank vault, where they begin a bloody battle, with Daken gaining the upper hand. Cyber then breaks into the vault and challenges Daken to a fight. Daken refuses to show him to his master, and flees the scene.

Daken is then seen with Wild Child. He is being whipped by his Master, who tells him to stay away from his father.

Daken is then put into a carbon freeze and placed in an abandoned SHIELD building. Cable and his group come an rescue him, taking him into the future, restoring his mind from insanity, and then bringing him back to the present.

DAKEN RETURNS

Daken has recently reappeared and confronted Deadpool and his father. He interrupts the two, as Wolverine is restrained by chains and ropes while dangling over a pool of water.

Daken pops his claws and cuts off Deadpool's left hand before he can pull the lever to drop Wolverine into the water, with the intention of drowning him.

Daken engages Deadpool and quickly gains the upper hand, during in the fight Daken kicks two of Deadpool's grenades into the pool, witch exploded seconds latter and releases Wolverine from the pool.

Daken ends up cutting Deadpool's other hand off and slashing and stabbing him in the chest and stomach many times taking him out of the confrontation.

Daken confronts Wolverine only for Daken to be shot in the back of the head through a window sniper style by Bucky.

Wolverine reveals that Daken was shot with one of three carbonadium bullets made by the Tinker. The bullets where made from the leftovers from the carbonadium synthesizer witch was used to make a new pacemaker for Cyber.

Wolverine tells Daken about the effects of carbonadium on their healing factor's and that he will remove the bullet soon and Daken's healing factor would be back to normal.

Wolverine picks Daken up and cradles him in his arm's and carries him out of the warehouse but not before telling Deadpool [who was a bloody mess and handless] that Wolverine let Deadpool capture him to draw out Daken and that if Deadpool comes near him or his son again he will kill him.

Wolverine eventually removes the bullet from Daken's head so Daken's healing factor go back to normal and he is able to heal.

Powers

Daken has superhuman: strength, endurance, reflexes, longevity and sensory acuity and an advanced healing factor.He possesses three retractable bone claws housed within each hand: two dorsal and one palmar below the wrist. Daken can disguise his own scent to the point where even wolverine's hyper senses cannot detect him.

Skills

Cyber taught him many forms of unarmed and armed combat. He is an excellent assassin highly skilled in espionage, excellent tracker and fluent in German.

Daken is a good hand to hand fighter holding Wolverine to a staelmate and beating the likes of Deadpool

PERSONALITY

Different from Wolverine, Daken has no moral regret about killing, which he’s done for professional reasons for a long time. In his appearances he’s seen murdering many people.

Daken has been heavily and irreversibly brainwashed. He accepts that Wolverine is his biological father, but still has hatred toward him for unknown reasons. He has some loyalty to another paternal figure that hasn’t been revealed yet.

Appearance

Daken has brown eyes and black hair.

His hair is kept in a mohawk fashion.

Daken also has a large tribal tattoo from his abdomen that covers most of his left pectoral muscle, going all the way down to his arm that keeps going to his fist, as well as covering parts of his back.

Why he is able to have this this tattoo is not revealed. His healing factor should negate it, as it has been established that Wolverine or Sabretooth for example cannot have tattoos since their healing factor absorbs the ink in matter of hours.
