Madripoor's Mastermind
After creating unbelievable chaos in Madripoor, Daken comes face to face with Tyger Tiger. Now with Madripoor in his hands, what exactly does Daken do now?
The Good
Leaving off from the last issue, Daken's finally taken over Madripoor, and we see his true intentions with the poor nation. He gets Tyger Tiger to become his figurehead while he sticks to the shadows. What surprised me was Tiger actually agreeing to Daken's offer, considering that she tried so hard to keep the peace within this small country.
We also get an amazing cover from Camuncoli that pays homage to the cover of Wolverine #1
The Bad
Daken's characterization in the past couple issues have been spot on, but this issue was lacking it. What normally makes this book interesting is not what Daken does, but how he gest around to doing it. The art here was also lackluster. Padilla does his best to fill in, but I still believe that Camuncoli is the Daken artist.
Verdict - 3 out of 5
Although this book is not as good as I expected it to be, it does what it needs to do. This issue is the prologue to the Daken/X-23 crossover, and it gives a proper reason for these two to cross paths in Madripoor.
