non-Einsteinian power up?

I've been looking at threads about Cyke getting a secondary mutation but no one mentioned a certin way that he could use his current ones. As some of you probably know Cyclops powers have been reconned instead of shooting absorbed ambiant energy he now shoots energy from a demension of pure concusive foarce that exist only in his eyes. Some may view this as over complicated or depowering but the book "The Science Of The X-men" has a diffrent take on it (here's a link to Scott's page: http://www.100megspop3.com/scottororo/fiction/ScienceOfScott.htm ) The book told me something cool apparently His powers dont follow the laws of physics (or something). The book told me that when scott and alex fell out of the plane scott for the first time unleashed his beam but instead of damaging the ground it just cushined there fall (ive never seen that version) this made me think of scotts ability to blast his beam off of things how could something that could "punch a hole in a mountain" bounce of a shiny substance it makes no sense. then i rember all the battle forums where people asume cyclops beam burns things and while i know that it doesnt burn but it still feels like i can rember it burning things and at other times cutting things. So here's my theory Cycke can subconsciously change the physical effect of his optic blast if marvel went with this Scott could have 4 diffrent versions of his optic blast (that all looked exactly the same)
Burning
Cutting (maybe even adamantium)
Harmless push
and Classic
imagine what he could do with this and the best part is he wouldnt have to get new powers just have his expanded it wouldnt be a secondary mutation and visually he would be the same old Cyclops plus it means he has some control of his powers what do you think

I agree. I'm not the most scientifically inclined but I'd like for him to gain control of his powers and for his output to become increased.

It all comes down size, force, and width of the blast and the rebounds are due to angle, force and durability of the substance he's bouncing off.

I was kinda thinking of this power up as a swiss army knife type of things diffrent physical effects for diffrent situations and oponents

It's simple physics. Take a rubber band ball for example. A good sized rubber band ball is pretty solid, with enough force you can throw it through a wall. Throw it against a brick wall, it just bounces back. Now go back to the typical wall, the ball can also bounce back if less force is used, so you can throw the ball at an angle without causing any damage to the wall itself.

But that's the point Cyke's powers don't follow the laws of physics....or something there non einstien and don't follow what we know about science

But it's based on physics. The way his powers are used can be based on real world physics to an extent like force, angle, ricochets, focus etc.

I agree with the FIRST part(control). Of course he shouldn't just automatically gain absolute control, but he should at least gain enough be able to turn off/on his powers at will. He can work his way up from that. Wont have to see red all of the time. I am not saying completely get rid of the visor, its iconic, and it would probably still be useful in regulating his power output; I am just saying... throw cyke a freakin bone GODDAMNIT. Regardless of whether you like him or not, you cant deny that he has earned it. In terms of power output, it is high enough(ie overloading Bishop, peeling off a layer of THE DAMN, WORLDBREAKER HULK'S skin), its just that he typically holds back...A LOT...mostly subconsciously.

He shouldn't get rid of the visor he can use it for his costume but when it's off he can just have his face out. I like the idea of slowly transitioning him into having control, he doesn't need a ridiculous power boost but basic control is cool. Maybe he could just use the visor as a safety net because he always has that worry about fully unleashing his powers, they can even do an arc when he can't control his blast once he hits a certain level of intensity to explain why he still uses the visor in battle.

@EnSabahNurX: @TheBesrkr1016: Yeah. I agree 100%. I LOVE the visor and the shades! I the visor as a tool for helping in better controlling the width of the blast and the sort.
