Is there time as a couple done? Scott has seemed to be pulling further and further away from emma and shutting her out. Namor if wolverine had done anything that namor has done with emma scott would have killed him and yet he dose nothing about namor sniffing around emma. I know he's older and there relationship is more solid then his and jean's but still. Now with him taken the phoenix power from emma by force and seeming to ignore or brush off her attempt's to speak with him about her losing control is this the end.

I hope so , Scott can get back to being Scott. I will always see Emma as a manipulator and villian.

most likely once you blast your girlfriend with powerful optic beams I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to be with you at all.

Not necessarily. Emma is a character who certainly in her own way, style and personality has been just as stalwart in her protection and defense of the remaining mutants. On a metaphorical level all the mutants that are left; the X-Men and Utopia's other inhabitants who were less active as super heroes, were all her students now in a way that she had the Generation X kids back in the day and all the kids on Genosha that were wiped out. For all that she put on certain airs, she was absolutely stalwart herself in the goal of protecting, defending, and maintaining her species.
So while this is a harsh moment and there will certainly have to be after effects, I could see a world in which Emma looked at this moment and would say to Scott, "You did what you had to do. I would have done the same thing." So I don't think their relationship is necessarily done. Or it could go horribly awry and now we have two characters that are eternally opposed to one another moving into a new chapter of the Marvel Universe. We just won't know for a few more weeks.

I'll admit THE PASSION OF SCOTT SUMMERS is a title that makes me smile.
But no, I wouldn't think you're reading too much. The Emma/Scott scene has a lot both said and unsaid.

I think the only thing that would end them is the permanent (as much as anything can be in comics) return of a GROWN Jean Grey. He betrayed her and she has betrayed him so they don't have illusions about each other.

Agree with Fodigg, they are equals with a certain point of view even if the betrayal of Emma with Namor is an old thing now... BTW if Scott and Emma done? Emma will become a villain and go with Namor?

Hmm.. I haven't been keeping up with this whole Phoenix story line, only been reading snippets here on the vine. But the more i know about it, the happier i am i chose not to read it.

There comes a point where the character you fell in love with no longer exists and is now just a simple shell of what she used to be. All that's left at this point is for writers to defile her character further. I'd rather have her be dead than ruined.

Man, you've been out of the loop for awhile. She's been purposely written out of it since she got the PF. It's even been played upon in plenty issues.
