Cyclone comics started out in 81/82 with a couple of one shots. By 1985 they had begun publishing their anthology title "Cyclone". This featured four ongoing stories and lasted eight issues. The four stories were those of the Dark Nebula, The southern Squadron, The Jackaroo, and the golden age Southern Cross. At the end of these eight issues it changed it's name to the Southern Squadron and became the title of that team, featuring a back up story of one of the four members. At around this time Dark Nebula got his own title (which lasted 9 issues) to back up his earlier graphic novel. The Jackaroo also got a single issue (intended to be a three issue mini but never happened). In 1989 in collaboration with Marvel, Cyclone produced a title GI Joe Australia. Perhaps due in part to this collaboration of companies Southern Squadron and Jackaroo were reprinted in the USA by imprints of Marvel like Malibu. 1992 saw the start of the last publication of Cyclone when Gary Chaloner launched "Cyclone Comics Quarterly" which ran for only four issues.
