Cutie Honey is an android built by Dr. Kisaragi based on his daughter who died in a car accident. She is able to change her apperance or clothing by saying Honey Flash! She battles the evil Criminal Orginization Panther Claw.
Backstory
Honey Kisaragi lived with her scientis father. At the time she had no idea she was an android and that she was killed in a car accident. She attended Catholic school with her friend Natsuko. But when day after school she returned home and found her father dead. She later found out the truth about herself and who killed her father. It was criminal orginization called Panther Claw they were after the device that gave her the ability to change her form. Honey then took up the name Cutie Honey to hide her identity from her friends and enemies.
Cutie Honey has the ability to change her apperance by touching the choker on her neck and then saying Honey Flash. Her most common apperances are that of a photographer, motorcycle rider, stage singer, model, and a stewardess but she has other forms, she can also turn into her enemys. She is also skilled in fencing and knows how to use a sword.

Anime Time Line
1970
The cutey manga started in 1973 in the Shonen Champion Magazine. The series only lasted 2 volumes. At the same time an anime was airing in Japan the series lasted 25 episodes.
1990
The series came back as a sequel called New Cutie Honey which was the only known Cutey Honey anime in the U.S. was released by ADV Films. Go Nagai picked the voice actress for the new anime in America. Go Nagai also made a sequel to the manga which was published in america by Studio Ironcat .
A few years later the series was made into a Shojo series called Cutey Honey Flash which had a similar but different story to it. In this series Honey was not an android just a human who received a device to allow her to change her apperance.
2000
During the new age Cutey Honey was going to be filmed into a live action movie, while having an anime counterpart called RE: Cutie Honey which was made by studio Gainax. The movie was eventually released in America but without the anime counterpart by Bandai Entertainment.
