The Heroic Age reaches the X-Men in the first storyline of the new X-Men series. Vampires from around the globe descend on San Francisco, seeking to add the mutant race to their ranks.
So X-MEN VOLUME 4 #1 is set to come out this July. "Mutants Versus Vampires" is the title of the arc and I am wondering if Marvel is trying to cash in on this (dwendeling?) cash-cow that is vampire tales. The August solicits have revealed that BLADE is going to be teaming up with the X-Men to, I guess, battle vampires. What do you loyalists think of this direction with the X-Men?
Didn't the X-teams just deal with SELENE, the psychic vampire? I know it's not the same thing really, but still, I'm not sure if that is a good way to kick-off the apparent fourth volume. I'd figure if you were going to start another X-Men on-going, you would want to maybe have it be along the lines of fallout from Second Coming, not a war with vamps.
The X-Men are running out of the older enemies, I am assuming that most of the human council will die by the end of Secdond Coming. I am not a fan of this but maybe they can make it work, if not, the volume will fail and we can pretend it didn't happen
Yeah I smell a possible on-going that suddenly turns into a mini-series, like S.W.O.R.D., but it's got to be better than that. That series was a dissapointment.
there is no more enemies 2 fight due to m-day and or killing and maiming , if anyone hasnt read any of wolverines origin book that accounts to like 5 x-villians dead the brotherhood is either dead ,reformed, or just gone, magneto is good... again . there isnt anything the current x-men cant really do unless they just show em playing poker or doing that video journal thing they did during one of the second coming books ,i gave up on the x-men lol sad but true , with shadowland coming out in july , and the current x-force im good .
