A C-87 carrying three oddly assorted passengers, Connie Courtney, newspaper reporter en route to an assignment in China, Paul Harris, Jr. traveling to join his father General Harris stationed in China, and Loo Fey rejoining her parents after studying in America crashes on an uncharted island in the Pacific.
The pilot and co-pilot dead, they are left to fend for themselves with only some goats that were already on the island, a knife and unused parachutes they have with them and whatever happens to wash up on the beach of the island.
Not only do they have to deal with survival on the island, but also long time island inhabitant crazy old Peg-Leg Dan who considers the island the exclusive property of himself and his parrot Capt’n, wild animals, including giant komodo dragons and jaguars, pirates, criminals and the elements.
Yet somehow they survive (with Connie even doing most of it in heels and a pair of seamed hose that somehow stay intact though it all) with the series even coming to a happy ending with them being rescued after 11 issues of mayhem.
Well… mostly happy, months on the island with two babes and Paul never gets to make a move with ether.
