Crossing Midnight is a series created by Mike Carey and Jim Fern and published by Vertigo Comics. Advertised as a mix between Neil Gaiman's The Sandman and Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke or Spirited Away, the series follows the adventures of two twins born on opposite sides of midnight, Kai and Toshi, as they venture through a strange, fantastical world to unravel the mystery of their births.
