Character » Crazy Quilt (Dekker) appears in 106 issues.
Pre and Post-Crisis Paul Dekker was a noted painter, who led a double-life as a master crook. He gave the plans for his crimes to various henchmen through clues left in his paintings. That is until the day when one of his henchmen double-crossed and betrayed him. Blinded by a gunshot wound, he was sent to prison, until he volunteered for an experimental procedure that would restore his vision with a special helmet fused to his optic nerves. The procedure worked to a point, but had a tragic side effect. He could see, but the colours were blindingly vivid and disorienting. It drove him mad and upon release he took on the guise of Crazy-Quilt. The New 52 Paul Dekker was a scientist specialized in soft tissue and member of Doctors Three, claiming that the Joker has given him the opportunity to become one of the "Dionysian Men". Revealed as Arkham inmate during Batman: The Last Arkham story arc, during Road to No Man's Land - Wax Man and the Clown story arc, in The Creeper #7 and in Batman vol. 2 #38.
A society of supervillains that has, over the years, featured a number of top villains that have on numerous occasions battled the Justice League, the Secret Six and lone heroes. In pre new 52 they were formed by Darkseid to take over the world but they had other plans.
