Coyotl can be considered the very first superhero of the Astro City area. He lived during pre-Columbian times and protected the indigenous people in what would centuries later be considered Astro City land.
He was armed with a bow and arrows, and there was a mystic aspect to him as well, evidenced by his were-coyote attributes. He was in some way connected to the silver anomaly within the Romeyn Falls caves.
His name comes from the Nahuatl word for coyote.
