    The code is "Howdy"

When a race of concquering aliens decides to invade the earth of the WIld West, it's up to warring cowboys and indians to save Earth.

    The Good:

    • The concept. It's highly original. It's very well done. It's really good. All in all, I am very impressed by the story and the concept of the book.
    • The aliens, the cowboys and the natives distinct ways of talking. It makes their respective factions and their entire world much more believable. Even though this book is wildly historically inaccurate, it feels like something that might have happened in the realm of "historical comic books".
    • The book explains almost nothing. Like, who is the House of Dar? What is that metal? Where are the invaders actually from? And the lack of explanation makes it feel like a genuine experience. Because what use would a great deal of explanation be to a story that works perfectly fine without it?

    The Bad:

    • There's really only one thing that I didn't like about it. And that's the art. It's right on par with bad webcomics. It's just not good.

    The Verdict:
Yeah, I totalyl read this book because there's a movie coming out. I can't tell you whether or not it's better than the movie, because I haven't seen that yet, but it's a rather enjoyable comic book. It's got what I actually miss in many other comic books: It's outlandish and the creative team is having fun with it. And if you like a bit of inconsequential fun in comic book form, go for it.

I went into this comic optimistic. After seeing G-Man's 3.5/5 video review, I assumed I'd be able to bear through this. I was wrong.   Now don't get me wrong, I liked the concept. Cowboys and Indians battling extraterrestrials makes my mind race with some pretty crazy shoot outs and engaging, creative stories. None of these visions were brought out in C&A. The story hung on a crutch of overused generalizations about the Wild West and concludes with a silly, predictable cautionary tale about ...

The Story:  Set in the Old West in 1873, Cowboys and Indians are enemies, but when a mysterious spacecraft crash lands and Aliens emerge, the Cowboys and Indians must unite if they wish to stay alive against these strangers.  My Thoughts:  When I first heard the idea of Cowboys Vs. Aliens I'll admit I thought it sounded pretty stupid. I didn't think there was any way that could be cool, I mean you would think the Aliens would eliminate some Cowboys pretty easily. But Andrew Foley and Fred Van Le...
